People with Nigerian embassies. I do not know how elsw to explain to my fiancee that he should submit the ds160 only. He believes you must pay right after submitting. He is reading online which is confusing on how to do things with Nigerian embassy

Things really do seem to move fast for some embassies.  NVC transmitted our case to the embassy in Manila on the 18th; Friday here, Saturday there.  It was in received/ready status by end of day Sunday here/Monday there.

Fiance had day one of her medical today and has to go back for vaccinations tomorrow.  Then interview June 5th.

We were nervous about the medical given some stories about false positives on the x-ray TB test since that throws an extra 2 months of sputum testing into the works.  She still doesn't have official results, but the doctor at least told her the xrays and physical exams are cleared :)  phew!

Great to hear things are moving so quickly with Manila.  We're hoping to have our number by the end of next week.  My girl is also extremely worried about the medical, but I think she'll be fine.  Good luck with the interview!

11/14/17 129F mailed

11/17/17 NOA1

05/14/18 NOA2

06/06/18 NVC received and case # assigned

06/12/18 left NVC

06/13/18 Manila Embassy received

06/13/18 CFO completed at Clark Pampanga

06/18-19/18 Medical exam

07/10/18 Interview - APPROVED!!

07/29/18 POE

No..it isn't so. Many people submitted long before they paid.

If he isn't cool about it, let him submit when he wants to pay.

Because they are processing Millions of applicates such as yourself. Patience or you will kill yourself. This is not a hard process. The hardest part is the wait. If you learn to wait with patience then you will be a little happier. The next process after this is AOS and you being the waiting game again. After that its removal of conditions (ROC) another wait. So waiting is important.

Our ROC (Vermont) took 14 months when it should have taken only 6 months. While California submissions took 6 months. You talk about steam coming from my ears BUT I learned to wait and not get myself upset. We finally got the approve and the wait was worth it.

Does your gc have to be conditional? I read to remove the conditions is another $500+ can

Can I join this thread? They approved our I-129F on May 10 and my fiance received NOA2 in the mail on May 20. He's going to call NVC tomorrow to ask about the case number and if they have it, see if we can get it expedited like we expedited I-129F. Right now I'm trying to gather documents like a criminal record check I have to get from a country I lived in 3 years ago :/ Oh well.

I have no clue how long this process will take from here on out, I was hoping for a max of 3-4 months.. Is that too optimistic?

It's not to optimistic. You should finish at least without hiccups in 30 to 60 days. Biggest hurdle is medical and police clearance.

Yes the first GC is conditional. Then 2 years later you request ROC removal of conditions which is when you receive your GC for 10 years. This is a money pit so relax and expect to pay money every step of the way.

It's not necessary to complete the DS-160 at any prescribed juncture of the interview process EXCEPT it must be submitted BEFORE the interview and it can be as late as the day before the interview or he could do it the day he gets the NOA2.

I see. I've applied for the VOG and international birth certificate last week as well. We've started on the affadavit of support and it should be done within a day or two, hopefully. Do we need this form with a wet signature?

No,since i believe 12-2016 you don't need a wet signature on the i134.

Bring the confirmation page from the DS-160 to your interview. The CO will use the barcode to bring up and attach the DS-160 making it now a part of your file.

ok good and it's part of files already  i'm just waiting a bit to see if they'll reply my mail to the embassy this week if not, i'll move forward and schedule my interview. i'm right, is that sound good?
