Is she aware that you can self sponsor at the London Consulate.

i didn't know that was a thing for K1, however i assume you would need savings and i have none to speak of so that option is out. It's okay she's got all the documents within reach she's going to email me them.

This is YOUR interview so not really her responsibility to prepare for you. Better harass yourself 😉

Was thinking the same thing, how was this solely the USC's fault? Oh man, if I (the beneficiary) had left the visa process to my now hubby (petitioner) then we wouldn't have been married and living together today, because there wouldn't even have been a visa in the first place. :P

I was thinking not having the money for the I 134 and not being able to work for a long time sounds painful.

Avoid the drama and self sponsor

Still have the stern words, obviously.

What do you mean by "self sponsor"?

I will be going to the London embassy and I thought I would need to take a load of documents from my fiance's parents as he had been a student and will only have been in his job a very short while by the time I get my interview.

Thanks :)

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

The air between us is nothing but a metaphor.

Nothing, not one thing, can come between us.

London permits the beneficiary to address the public charge concern using their own assets alone for the K-1 visa...meaning no I-134 from the petitioner is needed.

They are only looking for funds sufficient for 90 days and as EAD takes c 4 months and that is after you marry and file then I assume not an issue for most.
