My spouse and I had a civil service last fall and are patiently waiting on a CR-1 visa, but in the meantime we are planning a real wedding celebration! I'm in charge of finding the suits for my groomsmen to wear. Some of them are in Philippines (Cavite mostly) and some are in USA. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good place to rent matching suits from that exists in both countries. Our budget is moderate. I don't want cheap knockoffs, but we can't get Armanis either. I don't know anything about suits, let alone places in the Philippines. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Is your ceremony here in the US? If so, you might check out one of these sites. A buddy of mine used The Black Tux and had groomsmen all of the country. Since it's all online, it was a pretty simple process. I'm would think your people in Phils can access the site from there and have the tux's shipped to you.

The ceremony will be in the Philippines! She still does not have a visa (we were hoping it would be ready by then, but maybe it won't be).

Why would you wear suits and not go with the traditional formal Barong? I was a groomsman in a wedding for a friend of mine in Tagum City and he was the only one that wore a suit.

I wore a tux to our wedding in Cavite.  I would highly recommend not wearing one.  I was dying and the Vice Mayor wouldn't shut up as he turned the first 30 minutes into a campaign speech with the 130 trapped guests.

How about they wear Barongs since it will be in the Philippines, I wore one in our wedding in the US.

I understand Barong probably makes the most sense, but I'm not having a lot of luck swaying her on it. She thinks it's too old fashioned, and I'll admit too that I look better in dark colors. I'm still going to need to find suits, and I don't know where I can find them yet. My main fear is knock-offs. We've seen Armani suits for sale for only a couple hundred dollars in the Philippines, but that can't be legitimate. I would be embarrassed to have my friends dress up in fakes.
