But the $64 guy kept driving and buying gas. Sorry, keep trying to cherry pick.

cherry pick? mmk. if i had no resources to pay a fine and lost my license, i would keep driving and buying gas too. i'd still need to work, to pay the fine and pay to get my license back.

You know what I like about America btw, they don't have those stupid speeding cameras.

In the Netherlands I was paying about $  1200 a year on fines. It was driving me insane when I saw one of those envelopes on my doormat.

And I wasn't even speeding that much, maybe 5 miles on top of the maximum speed limit. But everytime I got flashed.

Speed bumps are the way to go. Much more exciting.

Poor choice after poor choice. And surprised at the outcome.

if the fine amount is structured by income, there's no need to change when a person looses their license.

I totally forgot about those. I don't think they would work on a freeway though.

i got one in like 2000 i think.

more relevant to me is all the wealthy people i know who drive however they please, because the fines are not an issue. one came very close to losing his license (almost killed someone) but had a good lawyer and just got more fines. he paid way more for the lawyer..

Odd, I don’t know anyone who drives as they please because the fines aren’t an issue, rich or poor. Anyone who drove like that would be sans license in no time.

it's no surprise, people don't always make the best choices.
