Filled 1-130 in July 2017. Still no answer.

Hello everyone! 
I filled out my I-130 for my spouse who is abroad in July 2017. Many people I know have gotten an answer by the 6th or 7th month. I am almost 8 and nothing. I checked the processing times for the office my case is being process and by Dec 31st,2017 they were reviewing cases from July 2nd. It's already march. Help!!
I am U.S citizen. Thanks.

Did you get a NOA? If you did, then you can use the number in it to follow up with USCIS, either by phone or infopass.  If no NOA, then you have a case of lost-without-trace mail.

Also if and when you fill out your timeline, VJ will be able to use the information you entered in your timeline to compute and provide you with estimate to when to expect your petition to be adjudicated.

I got the letter from the USCIS that they got my papers in July 2017. The office that is processing my case is the texas office. I will appreciate any help!! THANK YOU!!!

Texas has processed SOME I-130s with a date of July 23rd.....that doesn't mean all petitions before that date have been processed.  It means SOME..........Try to be patient.....Hopefully, you will hear from them soon.

That's pretty close to current processing at the Texas Service Center.  All cases are not equal, and all human eyes of the officers are not equal....so there will always be earlier cases processed first.  At this point, I doubt USCIS would be able to tell you anything other than :Your case is being processed".

USCIS is always slow to update their site......and December 31st is their latest status.
