Hello everyone,

I have hit my 3rd year in the US last week. I have a 10 years Green card. I came in on a spouse visa. I'm filling N 400..I have couple questions :

1) do I need to send a pictures of me with N 400 papers ? ( passport style) or they going to take pictures of me when I do the fingers print.

2) I didn't leave the US since I came here. Should I put the traveling history for the last 3 years or 5 years?

Any advice before I send the package?  Thank you!

If you are filing from within the US, photos are not required with your application..  They will take your photo during your biometric appointment.

Dear Going Through,

sorry to chime in here but this is of high interest of mine. I am filing online under the three year rule and still I was online required to enter all my travel within the last 5 years. Should I delete the first two years then ? Then it will show as incomplete. Sorry to jump on here !!!

If you didn't leave the US within the last 3 years, then there is nothing to document :) Just answer No when asked on the form if you have traveled outside the US.

Thank you guys for answering and making it clear to me. About the online file.. Is it better? I have everything on papers and everything is ready.. Should I switch to online one?

I filed online and personally think it's the better choice. Easy to track status!

Also it's recommended by USCIS to file N400 online now, many online filers have faster timelines (at least when I filed in OCT 2017).

Just for clarification...You can apply for Naturalization three years after your permanent residency date (minus 90 days), not the three-year anniversary you entered the U.S. using your K1. Good luck! Almost done!

The OP entered the US with spousal immigrant visa not K1, so the residency start date is the day of US entry.

Ah yes, after re-reading the original post, I realize I made a mistake. Please disregard. Sorry for any confusion.

Out of curiosity, besides uploading scanned copies of the front and back of the green card as required, what other evidence would asked to be uploaded once the n400 application is complete online? Tax returns/transcripts? What else?
