As I said in my last post those that have done roc without fixing the incorrect card have had problems with USCIS, you need to fix the card with the I-90.

Not always true.

We had the same issue (also in FL).  Inquired and infopass.  Always told we were OK.  Attempted to remove conditions after 2 years and submission was returned along with check and note saying we did not need to remove conditions.  Also not an issue at naturalization.

This was just our experience.  OP should check with USCIS.

Then you just happened to be an exception because many people here have had issues by keeping incorrectly issued resident cards. The safest and correct thing to do is for OP to file an I-90 to have it replaced by virtue of being incorrect. No fee will be required since it’s USCIS’s mistake. OP will then schedule and infopass appointment and have his/her passport stamped with a temporary I-551 stamp. The new card will arrive several months down the road and that stamp can be used for as evidence of lawful permanent residency for all intents and purposes till then.

Over the years I have seen several people in this situation and many have managed to have the card changed to a 2 year card but I have never seen anyone "have issues" by keeping their card when they took the measures I mentioned.

Hi,

Can you please share what happened to your case? Did you have to file form i190 and roc or just roc? Please provide the details on your similar cases.

I received the 10 years Gc as well instead of two years. I have an info pass appointment scheduled for next week as over the phone uscis is saying I don’t have to file ROC and I can’t file form i90 as it says only File it if you have more than 90 days in expiration of your condition Gc time. I only have 60 days.

Your personal experiences will

help.

thank you

Best to start your own thread or directly message the OP since this thread is several months old. Anyway regarding your card, I have no idea what this "90 day" business is about. The other people in this thread who did not have to do RoC were EXTREMELY lucky. You are supposed to have a 2-year GC and then file RoC 90 days before that expires. Period. Since your GC is incorrect, you need to get it corrected ASAP. There is no "timeline" or "time limit" for this. In fact, the sooner it is brought to USCIS' attention, the better.
