Actually, the rule is not less than 3 years of marriage AND no less than 3 years of residency (but can apply 3 months prior, meaning 2 years and 9 months)

but im glad it worked for you!

Hi. Sorry to correct you again. Im sure we were not mixed anything. You can search all the conditions for apply us citizenship through marriage on google and on uscis website  showed very clear that you have to at least 3 years of Permanent resident not 3 years married. However you got all set 🤷‍♂️

Both of you have valid arguments, I had similar thoughts until i thoroughly read the eligibility requirements for Citizenship through marriage. Please read attachment "A" of this link:

Good evening everyone,

this evening at 7:00 pm I received a text message and an email that my status was updated, run to the app and it says new card is being produced( case trucker).

I applied on 1/2/2018 NOA 1/4/2018 WAC18096*****, the last update was 4/12/2018 your case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction .

the funny thing my wife called this afternoon to the automated phone number at 4 pm and it was still saying on 4/12 was transferred to Arlington Virginia.

one more thing to share, I applied for N400 NOA 1/2/2019 and fingerprint was done 01/16/2019, advised by the attorney not to waste time and wait for the GC.

good luck to you guys and I hope you hear good news soon.

Congrats! We just got the "New Card Being Produced" message this morning! We filed on 1/18/18. We plan on filing the N400 as soon as we receive my wife's green card in the mail.

Hope you hear your approval soon. I looked up at the n400 application and it seems very tedious. Just looking at it makes me anxious and nervous again. Lol. But I trust God everything will be alright.

You'll be fine!

I think the online application seems much simpler than the paper one, and I found it to be the simplest application of this process yet.

A few details:

Before I made an account, I skimmed the video below.

Know that you can move around your online app as needed, return to sections to clarify or add information, delete uploaded files add others as needed (they just need to be under 6mb each).

There is a section where you can upload as many supporting documents as you want.

You can also print out a copy and read it before submitting to see if you need to make any corrections.

yepppppp. We are waiting for N400 biometrics to be scheduled as well, that'd be amazing if they schedule it as quickly as they did with yours as we have to drive 3 hours to the closest little office that they have (at least it's not the whole 6 hour trip to the actual field office in MN)

Of course, online says current processing times for my field office are 22 months :D:crying: so I guess there is no rush to get to biometrics if we are going to be waiting a whole lot more anyway.

You are allowed to go to attachment A ONLY if you answered that you have 3-5 years of residency.

You cant just start from there. First it asks about residency, and then if it is true, you go to attachment A to answer about marriage

Ahhh hope you guys hear something soon too! Our local office says between 11 - 13 months for processing! So it could happen pretty quickly. My brother in law applied for his N400 in March 2018 and had his Oath in November 2018! So we're hopeful for a fast process. Also hopeful the 751 gets processed prior to that! I guess all we can do is wait :)

Not yet. Dashboard online only states that the case was received last year on January. I received both extensions (12 & 18 months) by mail, and another letter stating that I did not need the biometrics appointment. I haven't done much to inquire for the I-751 since I already submitted the N-400 application, but since everyone around here is getting approvals I'm starting to get antsy.

Just so you know, I walked in early to my N400 biometrics  appointment and not only did they took me in but the entire office was empty and the appointment lasted 5 minutes at most. This happened in late December though, not a lot of people around due to holiday season.
