As the NOA states "If you have not already done so, please provide supporting documents...". Would it be worthwhile to mail copies of the IRA transcripts I have now or should I just see what happens?

If they need more from you, they will send you a request for evidence. I would wait. 🙂

I disagree. If you have them, I would mail a copy of the IRS transcripts so they have them on file before they start evaluating your case. It could save you time.

Thanks for the replies! You know, I think to be safe I'll send a copy of my NOA and copies of the transcripts tomorrow by snail mail for peace of mind. We're not far from CSC, so it shouldn't take long or cost much. I'm assuming we send it to the exact same address. I'll probably add a really short table of contents.

Thanks, but I saw some posting in the forum that the 1-year extension is based on the letter date, not GC date. Any reference we can find from the USCIS guideline?

I did not pay attention to the names on the NOA. I thought they are both my names. Will double check and let you know if it is different

I wish I have reference with the extension, but I personally think that the extension is from when your GC expires because, Our GC is what they are extending for, I mean our status basically, (conditional) and their point of reference is the date of expiration in our GC.

Hi all,

I filed to csc , delivered on the 8th. Check cashed on Jan 12 and got noa in usps on 14. It appeared noa was generated immediately upon receipt of the package on the 8th. Didn't receive biometrics notice yet, is this normal?

Anyone know why it's taking 1.5 years for i751?

Aren't there any rules or guidelines to follow for the csc or vsc to adhere to for the processing time?

Also does any one know if my case will be transferred from csc to vsc in case I relocate to the east coast and update my address with USCIS? Would this delay my case even further?

Also are the tax transcripts from IRS a must?

Thanks,

Guy

Yes it is normal that biometrics hasn't come yet. It's only been a couple weeks. If you want to see timelines on how long it usually takes to get biometrics notice, check some of the prior month threads.

As for why it's taking so long. Who knows. They are slow... No one on this forum is going to know the exact reason it takes so long. There aren't any rules of length of time a petition must be adjudicated by.

I don't believe your case will be transferred, but I could be wrong. Moving should not have an impact on your case. Just remember to fill in the AR11, and the I865 for your spouse.

IRS Tax Transcripts are a definite plus. It shows that you and your spouse filed taxes are married. They aren't required though. You could send over tax returns (as long as there is something showing it was actually filed). Tax Transcripts are just one of the easier things to provide and are good evidence.

Well I'm back everybody.  Still married w/ son in tow.  Had to wait for govt to reopen but could have filed as soon as 1.13.18.

Just got back from USPS.

Wish me luck, I rolled the dice and printed doublesided and the box was a bit oversized so hopefully our packet doesnt get destroyed.

Yes, I think you're correct. They're extending the GC expiration (date) by 1 year.
