Hi everyone, It's been a while since I have been around here. Congratulations to all of those who have seen movement in their applications (ROC and Citizenship). I just submitted my husband's N-400 application today 3/6/2019. We haven't seen any movement since "Case transferred to local office" in April 2018. We did receive the 18-month extension letter in August 2018. I hope to see some movement after today's filing, we are planning a trip in January 2020 and are hoping to get everything done before then.

WAC1807 here, Dec 2017 filer.

I was in the June 11th case transfers from California, that was transferred to California!

On Sat I received a biometrics letter saying fingerprints not needed, even though I had them re done in Jan 2018. Yesterday, and today I've received the same update (different date) that my case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction. Not sure if I'm pleased the status changed, or confused as it makes no sense!

Hey everyone!

Quick question, I have my N-400 interview on March 18th. My I-751 is still pending (Dec 2017 filer! with the June 12th 2018 update of “case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction”. Do I need to let USCIS know I still have a pending I-751 or just assume my N400 interview will be a combined interview since it is still pending?

And one more question! Given that my interview is March 18th, will I be expected to bring my 2018 tax return. We have everything compiled and gave it to our accountant but he will not have filed yet by March 18. I have IRS transcripts from 2015-2017. Anyone foresee any issues with this?

Thank you in advance!

Frances

You should assume so that the interview will be a combo interview I-751/N-400.  Theoretically speaking, your files should have already been transferred to NBC then to your local office.  USCIS is nowhere near perfect as we all know by now so it is possible too that your I-751 file is not with your N-400 file (but the fact that it got transferred strongly indicates that it is).

I would definitely bring your spouse and 2018 tax (if you have it) with you on March 18.  [My educated opinion] Without 2018 tax, you could substitute with something like last year mortgage statements (quarterly is fine) or most recent year lease.  Basically something you can show that you have lived and continued to live with your spouse for the last three years.  That is one of the requirements for N-400 for those of us filing under a 3-year rule.

If you really want to know, you can get an infopass and the local office will be able to tell you definitely it both of your files are there.

I checked the app today and found that there were quite a few cases approved today on our same WAC number and the day before us!  This is good!  For the cases filed our same day, there were only 9 cases approved earlier this week.  Today, that increased to 14.  The VJ timeline suggests that the CSC might be in December 2017 (which is probably more like an average of October - December 2017 cases).  Looks like they ran out of 2018 cases to get approved!

By the end of April, we are going to have our ROC progress list filled up!

We got our 1 year extension stamp in my wife's passport today at our local USCIS office.  They kept the 2 year Green Card that was going to

expire on March 12, 2019.  So we are still waiting for the I-751 approval, but at least we can renew my wife's drivers license.

I don't know... I wondered why as well.  My wife went without me, but with a friend.  I felt like we paid for the 2 year card we

should get to keep it for posterity.  Kinda bummed me out to find out she had to give it up.  My wife's friend said they kept hers too when

she got the stamp a while back.

Anyone that got sent an RFE that sent back evidence, have you gotten approved yet?  If so, how long did it take to get approval after USCIS received your RFE response?

I haven’t sent my package yet. I think tomorrow or Monday. I’m sending like 100 pages. A lot of it is bank statements.

When are you sending yours?

Vermont December 2017 filer. Case number was EAC18083.

I just received notice that new card is being produced! It's been a looong and tumultuous journey.

Didn't get RFE or interview or transferred. No N-400. Not looking to become a citizen anytime soon.

Good luck, everyone! Hang in there!
