Anyone know the best times to call NVC? Their on hold music is driving me insane

Well it is officially the 8 month mark with no NOA2, Day 240. I called USCIS Tier 2 officer who informed me my petition is sitting on an abjuration officer's desk for review. No RFEs or red flags as far as he could see. My finacee and I are baffled as to why our petition is taking so long. It really is heart wrenching. The good news is next week I get to visit her. Bad news is how much longer is this process going to take.

And to those who say get an immigration lawyer, I have one from the start of this process and he has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except collect his fees. If I ask him any questions via email(he has never answered his phone) he gets very rude and defensive. He is totally unprofessional and has not helped in the slightest. I am the one sending service requests for my case being outside of normal processing time and I have been the one to call USCIS weekly to try and get an update. I would never recommend anyone use a lawyer for the K-1 visa process. Its a waste of money.

Me and you together hun! Today is 240 days for me and my fiance too and the same explanation you got from them, is the same exact one I got from them too. No RFEs or red flags, just waiting to be reviewed. But glad to hear you're going to visit your fiance. I got back this past Monday. I needed those 10 days away from all of this and the U.S. and just alone time wit my bae. You will feel a little better after you spend time with your soon-to-be. Hopefully we'll hear something before the month is over...hopefully!

There's NOTHING a lawyer can do to make the approval come any faster and they have no control over USCIS or can force USCIS to do anything more than we can so don't listen to those that are telling you this because that information is false. Other than contacting your local congressional agencies or the Ombudsmen that's pretty much it. And you still have to wait for them to get a response.

At this point it's plain disrespectful to have people sitting at 8 months without a single notice or any attention....Meanwhile July people are getting approvals..I mean good for them, that's great but it's really unfair to have petitions sitting for 8 freaking months without anything...I don't see how it's so hard to issue an approval in less than 8 months if there are no red flags....I wonder if you and @Trinab80 being from the same country has anything to do with your delay...This is horrible and I'm sorry it's happening to you both..You have all rights to be upset with this process.
