I submitted my ds160 even my status still "at nvc". Yes I have my confirmation that I will print and bring on my interview. 😊

NVC doesn't assign dates by the way, in the cases that you don't chose yourself embassies does assign it.

True but the confusion comes into play because NVC case tracker is telling people that their case was sent to embassy and NVC has scheduled a appointment.. Just happened to me last week..the case status tracker told me nvc has scheduled an interview appointment. TOTAL BULLSCRIPT ..

I'm sure.... that's what fat, federal union contracts generally deliver... Low quality work, high quality work life.

One of the email i got 2 days ago told me to pay 240$ fee for interview. when its 265$

Hi @mikejoy2019

 

I have NVC case number with "ready" status that they are mentioning they sent my documents to local embassy in Japan on Jan 10th but how could you get an interview booked while on "transit" stage? Is there any general online page to book an interview before packet (instructions) by mail?

 

I called embassy in Tokyo Japan today but they never share me any details so very much frustrated...

 

DS-160 is filled in, saved and can submit anytime.

Just received a response to my inquiry since it has been over 6 weeks since Approval notice and this as their response: 

 

Dear Sir/Madam:

 

We recently received your visa petition. We will send NVC processing instructions within 4 to 5 weeks. Please resubmit your inquiry if you have not received any information after 5 weeks.

What does this mean? We have a case number and just need to call to find out?? Or they are saying it will take another 4-5 weeks?? I am so confused and this process is not fun at all for any of us....

two years ago I applied for a B1/B2 visa and was denied beacause I didn't meet their requirement. so the answers to this question is yes?

But nothing... But it's Japan so I would assume it wouldn't take too long for them to send and you to received..

I thought might be a good idea to complete and submit DS-160 first too but would like to wait until end of this month or so to get instruction anyway. Embassy just shares me to just wait so.

 

I'm also bit worried that "ready" stage, sent from NVC on Jan 10th" is their official reply from NVC but I cannot find on DHL tracker which some of the folks trying, sigh...
