That is great. From what I can see, you should receive your interview notice in maybe a month or so.....Milwaukee is fairly fast, thats where I had my interview.

Amazing news! Thank you! Do you think its possible they would skip my EAD and AP since I am under Milwaukee and they may schedule it soon?

I dont think so, my guess is that your AP and EAD will continue to be processed (in queue) while there is no decision in your interview/gc. So, how it is really just a matter of time until you have your interview and be done for the next 2 years. :)

Hello guys! Long time no posting! Well today was my GC Interview!!! Everything went smoothly...they only asked us regular questions (real name, parents name, DOB, place of birth...) and how we met, when we got engaged and when we married...then they proceeded to interrogate me about the questionnaire on the form I-485 (if I ever smuggled drugs, were arrested, were here illegally, was a communist, have ever commited treason, etc...)

I got a big folder with a bunch or records and papers but he only requested the health records and immunization records that I didn’t submit, and he asked if I wanted to show him anything else, so I gave him the elegibility package I made (tax returns, health insurances, rental addendum) and also some wedding pictures.

He said the interview was gonna take 45 min but I think it was shorter than that, prob like 30 min. After the interview he said that he approved me and that my GC should arrive by mail in two weeks!

I received my interview notice on June 14 but didn’t check the mail until June 24  I didn’t check my case online bc since I had my EAD already I didn’t bother and for some reason I didnt get an email alert.

My office is the Portland, OR office and I can’t believe everything has happened so fast!

Hi Everyone!

I had my interview this morning in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

Appointment was scheduled for 9 am. Got there at 8:20 and office was already open. Went through Security. Had our almost 2 year old with us. He was prety calm and behaved for most of it.

We waited for about 20-30 min.

We were called in to the officer's office.

Took oath stating we would say nothing but the truth. Sat down. Asked for our IDs.

Asked when we married, how we met. Why we choose to get married in Vegas.

Asked a few questions on that. If others went with us. If we had a ceremony afterwards (we did not).

Asked if any crimes commited, terrorist, communist, trained in fire arms, these were on the application. She was just confirming the answers.

Asked if we had any other documents we would like to offer for the file.

Gave her recent invoices, tax returns, rent receipt.

Asked us about where we work, chatted a little with my husband about his job and position and how he can open his own business. Asked who we leave our son with while we work.

Officer later indicated at the end that the application would was approved, to save documents and keep track of future documents for removal of conditions.

After 3 years elegible for citizenship.

The officer was pleasant and respectful.

She said card would get to us in approx 10 business days.

Asked if we had any questions - we had none. Thanked her and she walked us to a different exit door.

Good luck to everyone else out there waiting. I know ho hard it is to just wait.

But, the time will come! Keep strong!

I have a question about the notice of action for the i-485. My husband received his EAD and AP docs in February, but we have not received a notice of receipt for his i-485, nor an invitation for an interview. Should I be worried? Shouldn't they have least sent us a notice of receipt for the i-485?  It seems other people's timelines were quite fast.

We sent the i-485 in November 2017.

He did biometrics in December 2017.

He received his EAD and AP card in February 2018.

It's now almost August and we are going to renew the EAD, but we don't have an i-485 receipt notice to show that his case is pending.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure we received our AOS receipt notice almost immediately, prior to receiving biometric notice.  Did you receive receipts for EAD or AP?  Even though we sent all 3 together, we received 3 separate receipts all in separate mailings.

We only have 2 receipt notices (EAD and AP). The only thing I can think of is if for some reason we took the 485 receipt notice to the biometrics appt and left it there? Is there a way we can inquire about a missing or never received receipt notice?

@Kacie and Ivan i guess the best way is to call and explain your situation to officer. And see if they can check for you and provide you a receipt #. Check what status the current status of your application is. And if they have scheduled any interview request the letter be sent again. Confirm they have your address correct. ?

The problem is that form requires a receipt number, and I never got the receipt.... so I don't have a receipt number...

Do you still have a copy of your biometrics appointment notice?  Our biometric notice has our I-485 receipt # on the bottom of it.
