Hallelujah and thank you Jesus! My husband just had his interview at the embassy in San Salvador, El Salvador and was approved!! I thought he'd be there much longer but his interview was at 8:30 and he called me at 8:50!!! He said he was interviewed by a lady and she was very nice but asked a lot of questions (not sure of the questions yet but when he gets home he will tell me) and she said everything was approved!!!

I cried tears of joy! I'm so over the moon! I can't believe that after so long this is over. I'm beyond grateful and feel so blessed. All of our prayers paid off and God heard us. God bless each and every one of you that helped along the way and for all your prayers and well wishes! Good luck to all of you awaiting your interviews!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations !!! Just a little tip, my grandmother had her case there 2 years ago. If it at all possible for you guys to go check with the courier about 3 days after to see if your passport is ready you should.

We waited until we got the e-mail, and went the day after. We got there just in time before they "sent it back to the embassy". Like how ?!

So if you can, you should check before getting the e-mail. :)

I've talked to about 4 different people who recently had their interviews in El Salvador and they all had their passport and documents ready to pick up in 3-4 days so we will definitely be checking Saturday and Monday! Thanks for the tip!

Here is the list of questions asked at the interview today. He said it was more like a conversation then direct questions but here's everything she asked.

  • She asked if his name was Elmer and if his wife's name was Courtney.
  • How did you meet?
  • What do you do in El Salvador?
  • What did you study at the university?
  • Do you plan to study in the U.S.?
  • How long have you been married?
  • Did your wife's family travel to El Salvador for the wedding?
  • When did you propose?
  • What does your wife do for a living?
  • What did she study at the university?
  • Where is your wife's family from?

She also looked at all of the photos that he brought with him. She looked at the police certificate, birth certificate, marriage certificate and divorce certificate as well as my 2016 taxes.

Hello all!

İ honestly thought this period would be the least stressful just waiting for an interview date, but it's actually the worst! Knowing you're so close but not there yet.. I'm so anxious! My husband and I did email processing and received case complete verbally on Sept.25th and cc email received on Oct.2... All the case I have seen for scheduled exactly a week give or take after the CC email was received... So I hoped that would be my case as well... But I just kept seeing the days go by and checking my email and nothing... So sad... Anyone know when it would be possible I will receive something? Or when Guatemalan Embassy sends their available appointments to NVC

Thanks
