so my cosponsor needs to make enough for myself, my fiance (he has no dependents) i have a son but didnt claim him on taxes but i mentioned my son in the i29f packet so im confused if i should put him on my i134. so is my cosponsor house hold size include themself,me,my fiance, her own child and possibly mine?

The sponsor’s income must be enough to support the people who depend financially on the sponsor (dependents). To determine the dependents who must be included add up the following:

  • the sponsor
  • the currently immigrating fiancé and any immigrating children
  • any other immigrants the sponsor has sponsored in the past, and
  • all family members listed as dependents on the sponsor’s tax return.

If you child is not listed as a dependent of your's then he is not counted. However, the cosponsor's children/dependents should be counted. When you are filling in the i134 for yourself, you can mention for dependents "none" since you son is not your dependent, based on what you've said. However, the cosponsor must include their own dependents and they must be counted (along with your fiancee) when you assess whether the cosponsor meets the poverty guideline.

Side-note: Each additional dependent does't add much to the requirement.

she does not need to go to their country...what if she lived in a plenty of countries ? )) she would travel for a some months to gather the papers ..Lol

she can write an oficial request at their consulate, or ask for help any special agency ... i got one police certificate from Ukraine , with agency helping, it took two weeks to get in hands, and another one from Moldova- i sent notarized power of attorney to my friend in Moldova and she got it instead me, and sent it to Russia by ordered letter, i got it in two weeks too.

Ok, so if she was over 16 years old when living there then, yes, she needs the German police certificate.

Nowadays you can get that kind of documents through an online form or via mail. So go to my friend Google and check what you find there.

I've found this but confirm: https://www.bundesjustizamt.de/EN/Topics/citizen_services/BZR/Resident_abroad/Resident_abroad_node.html;jsessionid=CADFDEA56802F5FD31734BD3A5B14B37.2_cid377

Mail seems to be the way to go :)

Hope that helps!

Guys you are awesome !!! Please @Estibaliz and @Tatiana&D.S. if you can please help one more thing, 3 questions for same purpose

1. Do we need to have the documents translated? One is from the country where the embassy is, and other from Germany

2. Do we need to have the documents apostil stamped?

3. Do we need to have them stamped at the notary public?

Thank you guys again, we just want to make sure everything is good, that there is no "please come back again with correct items"  answer at the interview. Thank you !

Im not @Estibaliz niether @Tatiana&D.S.

But I will give my two cents.

This information is what I know for sure for Mexico Consulate it could change for your embassy

1.No need for the documentation to be translate when rthe documents is on the native language for the consulate or in english. I.E. Mexico would be ok with doicuemtns in spanish and english.

2. No need for apostil in documents

3.No need for notary public stamp.

Hope this helps

Give Knightsbridge a call and ask - @_Mia_ may be able to give you some advice here. She's put her medical back due to a chest infection. I think she took advice from Knightsbridge themselves.

My fiance called me on the phone full of excitement after his interview. We are APPROVED! He said the Officer was real nice and very conversational. She said she would ask 4 questions and ended up asking him over 20 questions in a very subtle manner. Who petitioned you? What does she do? Has she ever been married? Kids? How old? Birthdays? What address will you live at in the US? When and how did you meet your fiance? What are your wedding plans? Why the courthouse? How many times has your fiance visited Nigeria? When did you get engage? What are the dates of your fiance's visit to Nigeria after you started dating? Asked for recent pictures. Pointed to my mom and asked who is this? Where's this located? Any pics including your family? Showed more pics. He told me that the waiting was very excruciating with all the different lines. He arrived an hour earlier at 6am for a 7am scheduled interview and didn't complete the interview process until 10:30am. I'm so glad to finished with the interview and now we wait for the visa to be in hand and then POE (Atlanta, GA).

Congratulations to everyone that is making progress with their K-1 Visa journey and my prayers are with those of you that are waiting for progress. Just know that it will come and that it's all worth it.

Congratulations to the both of you.

No not yet, we have to wait until we get an interview date and right now there are none available for Moscow, so back to  I think maybe sometime in the next week or two we will have this and then be able to schedule the medical.
