Visiting another country while waiting for K-1

Hello.

My Fiance's k-1 is currently in process. Thus far, we have received NOA1 and are waiting for NOA2. He is currently living in Mauritius and that is where he is from. His mom and dad live in Ireland, and they are undocumented currently. They are waiting to hear back from immigration, they have applied for permenant residency. My fiance was there for 1.5 years undocumented and was denied a student visa while there, so he returned home back to Mauritius and did a voluntary deportation and canceled the appeal for a visa. 

My question is- aside from the immigration issues he may have with ireland, if he is able to obtain a visitor visa for Ireland, is he allowed to leave Mauritius while waiting for a visa to come to the US? I want to go visit him for Christmas, but I was thinking him and I could just meet in Ireland. Is this allowed or is it better for us if he stays in Mauritius?

Anything helps! If this is confusing at all, please let me know. I'm just kind of blabbing to explain it all.

Yes, he is allowed to travel perfectly fine while waiting for the K-1 visa. There's no issue with that.

His issues with other countries have no impact on his eligibility for a US visa.

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

If he lived for over six months in another country, does not that mean that he needs to get police clearance from that country?

This is true. Even if your fiance voluntarily self-deported and broke no other laws, would it matter if his undocumented status showed up on the police clearance?

He got a police certificate and it showed as clear, so that's part itself isn't an issue! He didn't find himself in any legal trouble while there.

We are still waiting for our NOA2 and so far I went to Cuba (no trouble for Mexican citizens) Canada with my husband (no problem either, even that they share info with the U.S and I had my tourist VISA cancelled for lack of strong ties, nice surprise)  going to Japan and Thailand in a week, (got my Thai VISA without issues, long process for Mexicans) Fortunately like others  said other countries wouldn't be a problem considering he doesn't have a criminal record :) I'm hoping traveling looks good in applications, if anything just to collect experiences and the cool stamps!

➺ 12/21/17 NVC confirmed they received our file 

➺ 01/22/18 Documents sent to Rapidvisa 

➺ 02/05/18  NVC received our package 

➺ 03/15/18 Case complete! 

➺ 06/27/18  We got our Interview date! August 28th 

➺ 08/30/18 The package arrived (waited at Juarez)

➺ 08/31/18 Entered the U.S with my husband 

➺ 02/13/19 Husband confesses he cheated, leaves

➺ 02/16/19 Husband decides to abandon the marriage

➺ 05/13/19  I am officially divorced. 

 ➺ 07/03/20  I file to remove conditions on my own     

 ➺ 08/13/21 I finally get my biometrics appointment 

➺ 02/26/22 I got my interview assigned: March 31st.
