Ask your doctor if you can fly! If you've had an uneventful pregnancy so far, you should be fine. Pick an aisle seat, make sure to get up and walk for a couple of minutes every hour or so, keep hydrated and wear compression socks.

Thanks @SabRob !

In the meantime, while you waiting, it'd be worthwhile to start prepping.

I understand. yes I agree, I have a lawyer but I will make sure we have everything.

question let say you sent everything on the list they ask for , which mean you will not get a checklist? correct? but if you do forget to send them one or 2 things then that will be cause you to get a checklist or they will tell you to take it to the interview? correct?

haha Happy belated!  My birthday was 6 days after.  I had to return to NY 3 or 4 days after the wedding so didn't get to spend it there but maybe this year will be different.  Can't believe how long this process takes.  We originally estimated 1-2 months for the NVC portion when we started.  Wish they had to pay interest on every day apart spouses had to spend.  That would definitely speed up their process!

Happy Belated to you as well. we estimated the whole process to be 3-4 month lol silly us. I have filled up my timeline. NVC received the documents and gave us a scandate 05/18/2017. So waiting starts again .... I wish I get a CC in 4-5 Weeks and wishes do come true.

Hello again.

We've received the IV bill today and paid that online.  How long does it usually take for the visa application form to open up for me to fill out and submit?  Also when it ask for the police report for the countries the beneficiaries have lived in for more then 6 months, do they have to be attested also? And if they have to be attested does it have to be attested in the country of issue or country that I currently reside in? Does it have to be translated from any legit translation firm or are there a list of approved translators?

Thanks

Hi All,

Another domicile question.

I currently live overseas, but if I plan to move before interview date, can I just put my US address, and avoid all proof of domicile documentation?

For example, if we submit at the end of the month, and the possible interview might be October-November, I would move by September, but at the moment of submitting (now), I'm still living overseas. When I submitted I-130 I put my overseas address.

Been away from the forum for about month ever since I received the checklist from the NVC...I should be sending off the papers from my wife early next week, that the NVC had requested.  Just wanted to get caught up here, is still up to 11 weeks for a case review?

Original scan date was 2/3

@felizcasado When I filed the i130, I was living overseas with my husband. I moved a month later back to the US and just updated my address with USCIS via their online form. USCIS sent NOA2 to me at my US address and I didn't send any proof of domicile with the NVC package--I had taxes for every year filed in the US, employment letter, and address in the US. I think if you're living overseas temporarily it shouldn't be a problem, but if you've been living overseas and employed overseas for a while you'll need to show more evidence of domicile, especially for NVC. Lists of what constitutes domicile can be found on the NVC filing information wiki.

Hey everyone!  We are sending our documents to NVC tomorrow, so I'll update the sheet with our scan date once we have it.

I had heard that it was 4 weeks for a case complete with NVC, but from what I see here is 11?  Can you share where that timeframe comes from?

Thanks!

So glad for this forum!
