Hi!  I obtained my NVC number and invoice number by calling today.  I was able to login to the CEAC site and I can see the tab at the top for Fees.  However, I cannot click on it yet.  Does this mean it is too soon and I have to wait for the e-mail notification?

Hi again!  This morning I received the e-mail from NVC and tried again to login to the CEAC site and now I have the option to pay.  I guess even though I had the numbers assigned all of my information was not fully updated in the system before.  Thanks again for the advice.  Now I am ready to get these fees and documents submitted!  Congratulations to everyone already with their case complete...hoping my countdown to that begins soon!  Have a good day everyone.

The thread is for individuals whose cases are now with the national visa center so that we can share information, questions and timeline updates.

Oftentimes, you will encounter others with similar scan dates. When their cases get completed, you can get a good feel for when yours may complete. Sharing your timeline updates and updating you VJ to line will also help others in the same manner.

I just called NVC. Petitioning mom. No CC yet. Scan date March 29.

Ive been trying to call to nvc all morning, but my call doesn't even get connected, due to the amount of calls received all of our representatives are busy and blah blah blah and disconnects me... however, I just received and email stating that my case is complete BUT since my husband is filling for my son too, his case is not yet been reviewed and my case will be on hold up to sixty days until my sons case gets completed. I checked my status on ceac and my AOS section is officially gone, but my status now says that I need to fill my de-260 when I confirmed they received since March 10th. Anyone with a similar status??? I will be trying to call anyways to confirm the cc

Hello!

I need some advice...

My petition arrived at NVC on May 3rd.

All the representatives that I spoke to said it takes upto 2 weeks.

2 weeks have passed yesterday and still a case number has not been assigned.

The agent told me to wait a week more but I wonder why I still didn't get a case number yet when the petitions that arrived at NVC a lot later than mine already got one.

How can I request them to look into my file? Can I just ask a representative to do that for my case?

Thank you for your advice in advance..

Assuming your interview will take black in Canada, it might be because you'll be filing via email.  Typically most cases would be assigned a case number within the first week. Since they recently updated their processes and portal, that might be causing a delay for certain cases.  You never know with NVC.

2 weeks after NVC received your file is definitely not normal.  I would suggest calling them every day to ask for a case and IIN number.  If you are going to be filing via Canada, you should rejoice. Seems like most email processing has taken anywhere from 1 day to a few weeks to receive a case complete.

Please fill out the form with your email so we can track each others' progress since you have a scan date in May :)
