Hi. I understand this thread is under family-based immigration. I have an approved i-140 under EB-3 petition. NVC received the documents on March 13th so I'm on my 8th week of waiting now. I wonder if the 11 weeks are consistently the same for different types of visas. I can't find a thread of EB-3 / I-140 NVC filers like this. Sorry to gate crash here.

I am EB-2 and I received a response right at the 8 week mark. Unfortunately it was a checklist. Not sure if it is any less for Employment Based cases, I think for all cases it can be from 8-11 weeks, but do let us know when you get CC. I am at 5.5 weeks after sending in requested checklist item.

Did you send a letter from your employer as one of your documents? What consulate are you interviewing at?

Thanks for the response. When was your 8th week mark? People from here said that wait time only recently changed to 11 weeks (?). Last time I checked was maybe February or January. It was 30-60 days if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure if there's a letter (there probably is). The arrangement is the employer does everything by the local agency here (they own it so it's a direct hire; however, information is scarce sometimes). The agency only told me to submit the civil documents to them (the cover letter and everything else, plus employer's documents--they combined everything and they sent those on their side all together in one mailing). Manila, Philippines is the consulate I'm interviewing at if everything goes well.

The portal login is changed to this. This makes it official, Your "Affidavit of support (AOS)" tab disappears when you have your CC.

Our Case was completed on March 03, 2017; but the portal changed on March 04, 2017 between 04:30 AM - 5:30 AM EST. It seems the status update on website/portal is carried out in batches. We were informed of our case complete over phone. I asked my wife to call too, just to be sure because portal had not been updated.

Now the wait for interview begins. Good luck Everyone. You will hear good news soon.

Hi There! I realized that my AOS tab disappeared from my portal this afternoon -- It was there this morning when I checked, but now it's gone. I called NVC to ask and the representative notified me that my case is not completed and that can take up to 11 weeks to complete. Do you think  he might have been wrong? I was so happy when I saw that the AOS had disappeared from my portal and was looking forward to hearing that my case was completed.

Hey all,

On 4/7/17 NVC received my DS-260 and on 4/11/2017 I mailed my AOS and other docs. I forgot to send in some civil docs which I finally send and NVC confirmed they received it on 5/4/17.

My question is do I have to wait for 11 weeks from 4/11 or 5/4?

Also, anyone here can share the approximate time it has taken NVC to complete a case (CC) once NVC has the DS-260 and all forms? Thanks!!

I would suggest you to call again on Monday. Maybe the person you talked to made some mistake in looking up your case? What's your scan date?

Thanks! Anyone have recent experiences with your case being complete? Just so we know what the actual time from receive date to CC is taking?
