I just checked with my husband and he looked through his emails from when we did the K1 process (also in Casablanca). He received the exact same message, saying that interview dates are backlogged 3-4 months. The good news is that this wasn't the case for us. The consulate responded to our email with an interview date in just a few days. Sometimes you need to email them a few times to get them to respond, but you should hear from them if you keep emailing them.

Here is our timeline:

NOA2: May 5, 2017

NVC Receive: May 23

CEAC listed as ‘Ready’: June 6

Sent email to Casa consulate asking for interview date: June 6

Response w/interview date received from consulate: June 8

Interview: July 10

Related question for interview stage for Fiance. I sent her the I-134, 3 years IRS documents, recent pay stub from work. My income alone is well above the poverty line. I did fill out the data on my life insurance policy and house as well. Does she need any documentation on the life insurance or house if my income is sufficient alone?

I didn't think to send the other papers mostly because of the income being more than sufficient.

Extraneous (to the visa interview) information like a life insurance policy and mortgage debt are subjects in the I-134 that don't require documentation for the package. You should have it covered with your employer statement, tax records, bank statements, and pay stubs. The level of financial documentation varies with each embassy but it still revolves around income, taxes, and employment.

Your packet 3 will outline the specific documents needed.

Hello everyone I took my medical earlier than Friday because I’ll be busy at work.

So I went to SLEC (St Lukes Extension Clinic) around 4 am. My medical was all done 9:30ish in the morning I waited two and half hours and all the people who are with me went home already and were asked to come back. I was crying to my fiancé because I thought that was for Sputum (me waiting) but then my name was called for immunization. 3 shots. After that they ask me to go to releasing and then I went hom. Successful! Thank God!

My fiancée was there at the same time. She got 4 immunizations, so i imagine her arms will feel fantastic tomorrow.

Finally done.

Gosh. I'm very happy for the ppl who's gotten most of the process done; medical, interview, issuance. Congrats guys and gals!

In the meantime...

Called again today for my case # and still...nothing. Zero. Notta. Has anybody experienced this? I don't know if the 6 weeks spiel is real. But i hope it doesn't go that far cuz the noa2 approval notice has validity limits as we all know. Does anyone know anybody who's gotten their case number a little later than 20 days? Some of the ppl who has the same noa2 date as mine are almost done with the process. I really want my fiance and me to fly off late november. Do we have a chance? Lol

The VJ trends say that it's moving down from a high of 22 days to 18 days. It doesn't seem to jibe with other cases I've followed but who knows? I'm at 15 days myself and impatiently waiting. I thought about telling the NVC CSR when I called this morning that if they want to stop hearing from me then give me a case number!

Three weeks is not a weird average time, but you are right that's a bit enervating, considering it was being more around the two weeks lately...

I'm sure you already tried the different options when calling, 7 and 5?

Late November is still very much doable, since you have two whole months yet, so keep the spirit up :)
