By this logic, no President ever received the vote of the majority of Americans, And Trump didn't receive as many votes as Hillary. Is that the point being made?

  NB, Boiler is responding to a specific statement I said. I clearly stated that the majority of voters supported Obama in 2008 and 2012 and Boiler said that statement is incorrect. If he's talking about something else he has in mind that's fine, but calling my statement wrong means he didn't actually read and/or understand what I said.

  How would a person who doesn't vote be called a voter after the fact?  In the present tense a person who has a right to vote could be called a voter. In the past tense you are not a voter if you didn't vote. You don't have a right to vote in the 2008 election anymore. Either you did or you didn't.

 

  Now if you google 'what percent of voters supported Obama in 2008', there is a reason the answer comes up as 53%. It's because they are counting actual voters.  Semantic deception won't get you around that.
