Hi Geowrian, Im sorry it causes the delay. But you will be approved very soon. I knew my fiance through OKC too, but I think I submitted them screenshots of our very first conversations on OKC, so that's why they didn't ask for IMB. How about you? Did you just write the name of the website on your timeline or something?

Hello,what is OKC and IMB?thanks

Hey everyone, got a simple question. I got invited along with my fiance to a wedding of a dear friend of his back in February that will be happening in June. Someone already told me that since I would only be going there for a week or two to attend the wedding and see my fiance, that it should not be a problem.

My question now is..he will be having spring break (he's a teacher) now next month and we though that since he didn't see his dad since last year, that he could travel to New York and me too since it's cheaper and see each other for Spring break as well visit his dad as well.

Would there be a problem if i go now and again on June? It would only be for a week this time and then again on 9th June or so and again 1 or 2 more weeks. We are still waiting for NOA2.

Thank you!

Once you have your visa it is only valid for one entry - so if your visa is approved before this trip (which is quite likely) then you will use the visa to enter.  If you then leave before you have your AOS (or EAD and AP) then your visa becomes invalid and you will have to start all over again.

Going now will not be a problem as you don't have the visa yet - and you are still able to travel while waiting for your visa (but make sure you take evidence that you are going home again- letter from employer/tenancy agreement etc...)

Just want to share that today we were approved!!!! The waiting game is hard, I was going crazy during the 3 months between NOA1 and NOA2. After getting my NOA2 on Feb 03rd, the whole process went so fast that I can't believe that now is almost done. My interview took less than 5 minutes, when I thought the consul was about to start the interview he said "congratulations, your visa was approved". He asked questions that people always ask me about. 1. When did you meet your fiancé? 2. How did you meet him? 3. When did you start dating? 4. When did he propose? 5. If he had come to Brazil and had met my family? 6. If any of us have been married before or have any kids. The interview was in Portuguese. Hoping that soon all of November and December filers can have their cases done. Good luck to all!

:) Obrigada.

to answer you, the Rio embassy allows the us citizen to be present during the interview, they won't ask to the us citizen to come but it's always beneficial. My now husband couldn't be there and I was approved anyway.

you should answer truthfully, I wouldn't give out much details, only if asked to elaborate.

feel free to visit the Latin America forum, if you'd like to speak Portuguese with other people there

For the I-129F, they won't even look at that. They just need proof that you met at least once in the past 2 years, required forms are completed, etc.. The proof of an ongoing relationship won't be looked at until it reaches the CO at the embassy.

Thanks Geowrian. I have a question. I submitted all of our on going relationships in our I-129F packet already: they are a hungreds pages of our conversations since we first talked until the last day before we sent the application, through viber, skype, fb,..., and lots of screenshots of us video call each other.

So Im wondering what kind of on going relationships evidences I will need to bring for my interview. Should I just print them all again, with a new up to date of our conversations? Do you think the C.O will have a chance to read/ look at all stuff in my I-129F packet first before he calls my number for interview?

Because since we submitted our paperworks, we havent seen each other in person, so we wont have any new photos of us being together the second time.

Sorry for my messy English :D

No problem.

Front loading is fine. You won't need to include any documents you already sent since they are forwarded to the embassy with the I-129F petition. It doesn't hurt to have a copy, but they should already have it. You don't need to see each other i person for additional proof of an ongoing relationship. You can write an affadivit, provide screenshots of new chats between filing and interview, phone call records from that time period, etc. They basically just want proof that you are still together and planning to marry (i.e. you didn't break up and the beneficiary is still trying to get a visa).

The CO may or may not look through your evidence before the interview. They may do so at the interview. Having a lot of evidence provided already is perfectly fine, though. In high fraud embassies (Nigeria, Egypt, etc.), front loading is pretty much necessary because COs tend to make their decision prior to the interview. A CO likely will not look through everything you provided...it would take too long! But they can get a good sense of the case.

It's fine. :)
