Hello, how long did it take for NVC letter? Are you the beneficiary or petitioner? I'm stuck with what to do with our case at NVC. I'm the petitioner. NVC told me they would mail my fiancée a letter or email me with the information. I haven't received anything or instructions on how to proceed from this point.

 

BTW yes to your question. Take with you proof of relationship from the time you submitted your petition to USCIS until this point.

@Likeitizz what app are you referring to where you can see the amount of cases? I have the case tracker but I don't see how many cases there are

Question for filers who already recieved NOA2's ....whats the estimated time from the time you get the NOA2 to Interview?? Just wanted to see so I can get an Idea of when yo use my vacation time....☺?

Just based on tracking and reading others experiences I would say average is 100 days to get NOA2 and about 1.5 months till visa in hand. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong, this is just an observation

I think it depends on the embassy.  People on the Canada sub-forum report that the Montreal embassy, where my fiancé will have his interview, is sometimes booked out for a few months.  As soon as we get our case number, their recommendation was to take the first interview slot available, then check back every day to see if there have been any cancellations.  However, Montreal is one of the slower embassies, so Mexico could very well be a lot faster.

HI , I waited two weeks before calling NVC, have been told that my petition was send to embassy, I tracked it ( someone here posted link to youtube how can be done ) and  show that next day embassy was receiving it.At this point she is ready to fill DS160 and hopefully in a month have appointment in embassy.

It took 17 days for our case to get to NVC and for them to issue the case number (over the phone) - we phoned about three or four times in the week before we got our case number.  The case is still showing 'at NVC' on the case tracker and I am hoping that it will be despatched to the embassy tomorrow - which will be three weeks and a day (22 days) after NOA2.

 

I have already booked my medical in London and will file my ds-160 and my 'readiness' when I know my case is in transit - and book my interview.  I only have a few dates that I can manage in my schedule so I am hoping to get an appointment within the next month (because otherwise I will have to wait until the end of April)

Noon here so I ran the USCIS app.

I show only 8 cases left out of over 350

from 10/31 receipt date.

Congrats, Jim! I've been rooting for you the whole time. Glad you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your fiancee in the Philippines while your petition was being processed. I'm sure you're relieved to have the petition approved! On to the NVC!

We're all part of this forum/website because we're going through a very difficult and long process, which is made all the more difficult by going through it whilst being apart from our loved ones. We come here for help, advice, and some comfort/uplifting pep-talks from people who are in the same position as us. I've found a number of your posts to be extremely negative (jumping into the January filers' group just to tell us all that we should give up on any hope of a quick process and to expect disappointment?!) and I find this negativity to be the complete opposite of what I and many other other people visit the forum for. 

 

I'm extremely lucky to be in position whereby I can visit my fiancé a lot, but as @minemar points out, it's not a possibility for a lot of people. Again, Art, I do not mean to come across as confrontational or attacking you in any way, but I would ask that you please try to keep the negativity to a minimum, and not make assumptions about others' relationships. All of us are on edge here, and a little emotionally fragile, so please do what you can to keep VJ a place where we all feel we can turn to for some friendly advice and support.

It's about 1 month from NOA2 to embassy receipt. The time after that is embassy-specific. Some embassies can be scheduled for the interview in a month, and others are booked 4+ months out. I'm not sure where Mexico falls in there, but my guess would around 2-3 months.

Yes, you may call. It should be there by the 28th. It *may* be there as soon as today or tomorrow.

It's from the USCIS site. There is no real API...it's just scraping from the website.
