Hey guys! I wanted to resurrect this old thread as a way of marking Luz and Robins 1 year anniversary of arriving in America! One year ago today my life forever changed for the better. It's been a very interesting year that has been filled with major milestones. Of course the biggie is we got married on April 23. That was the best day of my life! May of last year we moved from my small apartment and into a duplex that we lived in for almost a year. November saw Luz and Robin getting their green cards. Then of course our first Christmas together was a very important time in our lives. February is when Luz and I bought our house together. Then in March Luz gets her first job and then yesterday Luz buys her first car!

It's been a wonderful year and I am so glad we could share it with our VJ friends. Having you guys here to give us support through the hard times and to help us celebrate the good times has been a Godsend. Thank you all.

The next milestone- our one year wedding anniversary on April 23!

WOW that is great Gary. I am happy for all three of you. Luz is a very sweet and friendly person. I really enjoyed my stay on that Sunday afternoon. Robin is a very nice young man and just needs to break out of his shell cause he has lots to offer. I am happy she bought her first car, now that will required a picture of it. You and I know how much she loves the camera

well Congrats Sis Luz and brother Robin, may you all have wonderful life in America.

USCIS added a year to the date we wanted to get married. In that time, my fiancée and I had many problems to work out. The good part, is that we learned we could work together to solve these problems, and I also learned where I couldn't come up with a solution, she could and vice-versa. We are a team, and still are. We never let three months go by without seeing each other, but was very painful for both of us to separate and another three months seemed like an eternity.

But three years of this stuff, that sounds incredible, do recall the day I went to pick her up at the airport for the last time, left three hours earlier and drove very carefully. We communicated via cell phone when she landed at two different airports for a layover. I know exactly how you feel and hope you have the same relationship with your fiancée that we had. Even after five years of marriage, everyday is special to us.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Congratulations to Gary, Luz, and Robin from Gary, Fely, and Briana. Its great to see things are going well for you three. With your 2-year milestone comes our 2 minus 3 months point. Time for us to get busy with that permanent resident paperwork.

Here's hoping your years just get better and better,
