Does anybody know what the invoice number is for? From NVC.. I was so excited to get the case number that I didn't bother to ask what we need the other number for :D

Also, on the DS-160, it asks do you have any immediate family living in the States, would my fiance need to add me on there or is it for other family?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, we are definitely in the same batch. I don't know about you, but I am finally starting to relax, after months and months of uncertainty.

I agree that first part was crazy! Now the pressure is on my poor lady in the Philippines to get through the interview. I personally think she is plenty prepared but her poor nerves say otherwise lol.

It's a gut-wrenching process for sure I'm sure she will be just fine. How far off is the interview?

Guys,  do the US Citizen needs the CENOMAR when my fiance will have her interview innthe Philippines?

we are confuse because some people said she have to bring 2 CENOMR's with her.

Pls help.

The CENOMR is only for the Filipino citizen. If the American has been married before, having a certified copy of the divorce decree in hand at the interview is required I think. I know my fiancé has a copy from me.

July 17. We had to delay a bit for finance issues but all is within our plan so far. Looks like if all goes well she should be in Oregon August 22. Yay!

Congrats and good luck.  My fiance goes in on 7/7, and I know she is prepared but she is still nervous...and a little sore from the four vaccinations hehe.  Again, good luck!!!

I didn't put my fiancé as family. He is not legally considered family yet. I remember someone else asking that question before and the answer was no. Either way I think if it is explained, at the interview, it is an honest mistake and I like to believe they would not hold it against anyone. Legally, there are no family links with your fiancé until you are married...unless you are cousins but that would be another issue :P

I would try it out, it's not like they keep count of when you call or not. They told me it can take up to blabla and not call at NVC, and I still called and they kept repeating the same message :P

Thanks!

I called, and after a lot of explanation, the officer transferred me to Tier 2. Unfortunately, the line disconnected during the transfer.

Called again, a different officer answered. After another lot of explanation, he refused to transfer and asked me to call back on Monday. :clock:

Dang! I would try calling again and just say that you were transferred to tier 2 and the line cut, it would be nice to be transferred again :P ? You tried that one?

Yep, that is what I tried. Except after everything I said (as you suggested), we had to have a conversation as if I called for the first time, which leads to a refusal to transfer...
