204 days! i'm just past that now. did you receive an email? i opted for electronic communication, but I never received my paper notice of receipt, and I think that's because i've heard they don't send those overseas. so i'm hoping they update me via email!

No, it was on the USCIS site when i checked. I never received an email

do you know how long it takes when NVC receives it? i've heard about 3 months?

from USCIS they normal take a week-2 week to received the package from USCIS. for the whole process at the NVC it take 2-3 months.

If you can add the weeks up the whole process will be 2-3 weeks.

WHY I SAID THAT?

1.it take 1-2 weeks to received the packaged from USCIS.

2. it take them 2-3 days to a week to scanned the documents then they will give you the invoice blah.

3. it take about 2-3 days to a week to pay you first  fee. once u call them and let them know its paid they will unlock the next part for you to pay the next fee. don't pay, sit and then wait for them to unlock the next part to pay your fee because they can take a week to check that. so it best to call them after you paid you fee.

4. the last fee to pay will take up to 2-3 days that if you called and let them know otherwise you will wait a week.

5.After the fee say paid on the site that when you can start counting up to 11 weeks for case completed.

add all them days weeks up and u will see its 3 months.

I can be wrong or some what right.

But if I am wrong please correct it thanks.

YEAH OF CUZ YOU HAVE TO SEND THE PACKAGE TO NVC TOO.

I TRIED to explain but I hope you understand.

Yeah me too... this wait is so traumatizing. I am just hoping that the rest of the process is fast. But as far as i have seen other people's timelines, i am guessing we have atleast 5-6 months more after getting noa2. 3 months for NVC to process it and one month for consulate to process it.. then one or two months till you get am interview date. This is the pattern i have seen yet.🙁

Yes this slow process is outrageous

I was just wondering if there's a difference between the USCIS status saying 'Case was approve' and 'Case was sent to the department of state' I received a case was approved status but noticed through the app a lot of people have 'case was sent to department of state' is there a difference in what needs to happen next between the two?

thanks

it gets sent after approval, being that they've been so slow, hopefully not a long delay between the two

Some people get the "sent to dept of state" notification bypassing the approval status. I personally received the approval and also the "sent to dept of state" notification. So what I understand is when they approve it's sitting at USCIS until they ship to NVC. But some people dont get the dept of state notification, so it's random.

OMG!!! I Just turned over to try and catch a few more winks before my alarm went off for work. Then I was awaken by the sound of a text message, then another, and another and more. I thought about another member saying he got a lot of texts when he was approved so I jumped up and grabbed my phone over on the nightstand. I said a prayer before I checked...APPROVED!!!!

It was approved yesterday after 255 days. Boy has this been one helluva wait. Feels like ten thousand pounds have been lifted off my back. The hardest part is over. Hang in there guys it will happen. Sending positive approval vibes to all. :D:jest:
