They were quite efficient actually told me once I have the docs I should submit it together with my passport. Probably 3-5 days to issue once they have all that they need based on most of 221g here. Passport was given back to me since I might travel and the wait for the tax return is really dependent with my joint sponsor.

I am just glad it wasn't outright refusal. I was grilled with my husband convictions, just like yours they wanted to make sure I knew it all.

We had our case complete on the 17th November and rang up yesterday and got our interview date on the 5th January. Medical 2 weeks today on the 14th December!

Thanks for the reply. Her parents do fulfill the income requirement and she is also looking for a new job as well. Do i have to take the new job letter if she gets into new company before my interview?

You can bring it with you for safety, because there is a possibitliy the interviewer might ask about your wife's current job position, but i think you'll be fine since your wife and her parents are supporting you.

Did they keep your passport? I can't imagine that the embassy in Singapore is slow with such matters. Singapore always seems so efficient in everything. That was my impression when I visited. Hoping for a speedy process for you!

You're almost home. It can't take much longer for the embassy to receive satisfactory medical results. At least they have your passports already so as soon as they get those results they can print those visas for you. January will be your homecoming month!

hello everyone my husband also received a 221g they wanted a letter asking why i didnt file for income tax return.They have his passport and said we will be good after we send in that letter. I mailed it on friday hopefully they received it. Idk how long it will take for them

to approve my husbands visa. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the islamabad embassy to approve the visa after sending whatever they need to? This is so stressful :(

Hello Guys, I have a good news. As i called this morning i got my interview date finally.

Scan date : 26th Oct 2016

Case Complete : 14th Dec 2016

Interview Scheduled : 9th Feb 2017

SO happy to hear the news. !!!

So the good news is that he will get the visa.congratulations

As for the wait honestly I cannot say because it can take few days to months. My guess is few days for you. I would suggest reading embassy reviews to get an idea or search on this site for people with 221g slip.

We got the appointment letter three days after we found out the interview date on the phone.

Congratulations! It's almost over!

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath
