Sorry for not getting up stats today ... had 2 shots yesterday and it knocked me out really bad. Tomorrow may be better I think.

Yes she needs to get police clearance from UAE. It can be obtained via their website. Here's the web: https://www.moi.gov.ae

Thanks for the info and the link nortonplus. Now just have to figure out how to navigate the website in order to help my fiancée. Best of luck to you on your journey.

From previous filers .. it looks like the faster you get USCIS approval .. things tend to be backed up once it reaches to NVC and the wait starts

Hopes everyone gets approval soon!

I know right?! It's crazy! And so frustrating sometimes. We feel hopeful each start of the week only to get disappointed when the week ends. Oh well, what can we do... no choice but to wait. Good luck to us, next week is another week. :)

Me, too!

But there is till Friday!

I feel that there are quite some software engineers who could help USCIS to create a queuing system. USCIS are probably trying to maintain "first come, first served", but they are human, and the margin of error could be large. Computer software would be more accurate.

What's better: they can build some system to facilitate the information sharing between USCIS and NVC: it sounded surprising to me when I first heard it would take at least a week for them to share information.

I am sure helping them develop a system is also a great business opportunity for a software engineer!

Question: Port of Entry (POE)

Does it matter what US port of entry you enter in ?

OR

You have to enter the port where your fiancé lives?

My understanding is any POE is okay. I heard someone used NYC airport but fiance lives in New Jersey.

Not every state/city/town/village has a POE I think.

No it doesn't matter. Think about it, alot of people don't live where there is a port of entry. Like me, I'm in Montana. Which means my fiance has to fly into somewhere else first.

Direct flights into Montana definitely don't exist when flying internationally.

Port of Entry (POE) is the first major airport that has international flights flying into it and would be where your fiance' has to fly into that will have customs and immigrations located at it.
