My mother and I, are living in UAE-Sharjah and I am wanting to know the details on how to sponsor her while living in the UAE.

What documents are required for this purpose ?

Is the international money order to the USCIS from a UAE bank acceptable?

I also wish to know about the order in which the documents should be assembled and how the cover page should be?

Kindly help me with these question, I shall be thankful for your time and favor :)

Are you a US citizen? Do you have residency/ domicile in the US? How long have you been living in UAE?

Visas are for family reunification. If you are not living in the US and your mother is with you it will be hard to justify her needing a visa.

hi

yes, but are you planning to return and live in the US?

as said, GCs are for family reunification, if you don't plan to live in the US, there is no need for your mom to have a GC until you do.

you will also have to prove US domicile, how long have you been living there?

You can certainly start the process overseas but you must return to the US to live either before or with your mother.

You will need to prove US domicile for this process. Sponsorship is just one part of it (and the least of your worries as joint sponsors can be used anyway).

The form you need to start with is the I-130. The process takes about a year. You might want to start looking for a job and an apartment in the US sooner, rather than later.

How long have you been visiting your Mother, why not use a check from your US account?

Yes, i do have plans to go back to the states. But wishing to sponsor her first here then leave. What's with this domicile? Regardless of how long one stayed. A citizen is a citizen please clarify. Thanks for your responses. Do guide me further:)

You have to prove intent to establish domicile in the US before or the same time she enters on her immigrant visa.

The question is not whether you are a citizen or not. But when you intend to return.

I assume you have filed taxes whilst overseas? Part of the requirement is to send your most return tax return. Unless your income is continuing in the USA from the same source (for example, a company transfer) or you have substantial assets, you will need a joint sponsor unless you find a job that meets the requirements before your mother's case gets to the NVC.

Will your mother be working in the US? If not, how will she be supported?

I m a fresh graduate, who is currently seeking an employment in the uae after studies. Hence, taxes wont be applicable is that correct?

If you're planning to stay in the UAE, how do you expect to sponsor your mom for a green card? It seems as though you are looking for an answer you want to hear, and not the actual answer (which is what you don't want to hear).

Either you are building a career in the UAE or you are returning to the US with your mother. Make your mind up.

Taxes may be required. It depends how much you earned alongside your studies.

Do you have someone else who can joint sponsor or do you need a job first.
