OK guys, since you are all sat there waiting patiently in this loooong process, I figured you might need something to do...After reading multiple (albeit old) threads about the subject and getting nowhere, my question is this:

Can an individual currently in processing (K-1, married with SSN, AOS/EAD and AP filed), under any circumstances work as a self employed individual?

It seems a rather grey area..any input much appreciated!

Hello everyone! I sent my paperwork on Nov 21st via USPS and it arrived on Nov 26th. The check was cashed on Dec 2nd and even though I attached the G1145 I haven't gotten any notification through email or text message. Is it normal for them to ignore it? Just being paranoid. Thank you!

2016-12-19 NOA1 Hardcopy received

2017-03-09 EAD and AP approved

Best way to ensure you and your baby are safe and have everything you need is bring on top of everything. The husband may have all good intentions but not enough time, so please research and make sure you're all settled. Best of luck

No gray area at all. Working to make money is work whether it's self employed work or not. Wait for EAD

I''m confused, are the messages where I'm quoting/addressing you not popping up on your screen? testing testing...

In any case... Guys, just had a successful bio walk-in at the ASC in Desoto. Arrived 1:55 pm was first in line. She asked to see ID and marriage certificate since I'm using my married name now and the reason why I was coming early. She was very polite and courteous. I filled in the form with my info and before I even sat down I was called up for fingerprinting. Couldn't have taken more than 15 min :)

Oh, and I saw some more checks cashed! That's great, congrats ya'll :dancing:

Hi,

My bro is doing my parents paperwork. Again, we sent the paperworks to Chicago Lockbox on 11/15, they were received on 11/16 still nothing.

So I have some news for everyone, my brother has a friend, who has a friend lol who works at USCIS and she said they got behind on the week of Thanksgiving, so just dont count that week and you'll be back to a normal wait. For the ones who have not received the NOA1 still, thats what happened, the week of Thanksgiving.

I received 4 text and emails from USCIS.

My NOA1s

So one question as they had just accepted my forms. That means no RFE was found needed?

Acceptance means your application passed simple checks that it had the minimum data to be input on the system. That means correct fee, signature, essential data filled out on the form. It got the green light for processing, but no assessment on sufficiency for approval was made. An adjudicator can still issue a RFE or RFIE if deemed necessary during the procedure.
