I ran a partial search of October 31 filings (298 I-129f's) for January 13 (Friday) and of those there were 20 new approvals and 7 RFE, making a total of 27 new cases worked on Friday the 13th. Hi there,

Checks are stripped out at the Texas Lock box. CSC never sees them.

That is what I read last year from a person who worked there.

15-30 minutes per case, RFE or approved.

Jim

Thanks Jim!

That is reasonably fast. I guess it is just a matter of their priority then :)

When ur case gets reviewed do u first get the email? Text? Or does it show up on the site first?

Also.... i sent the form to get email and text  notifications once my case was received. But i was told there is a different form i need to fill out to get a text or email for my noa2? Is that correct?

Approve January 1st? what year ? LOL

Well last time time I did this I found out via TEXT I was shocked I thought weeks away but it came in about 28 or 29 days

The form you gave normally just tells you of NOA 1

Then you sign up at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and enter your WAC number there..

Jim

Hmmmm. very interesting.

I ran mine and it said zero approvals for 10/31

I'm searching from WAC1790049048 plus 500. I was not able to find any I-129F's for 10/31 prior to that WAC number.

I don't recall seeing any AFTER WAC1790049548

I will double check.

What WAC are you starting at?

Hey fishe,

good question as we are both using the same app.

first, Jim did not say that 0 cases were worked on January 13th, he said that there were 5 RFE if I am not mistaken. Which is exactly what I showed on my app at 3:00 pm Est.

The short answer is that Jim is running his search before the final batch of the day on some days and I am running them after. Jim is one of the most valuable members of this community especially for filers in our month. I and many others have gotten valuable information and advise from him. So his post discrepancies from mine only reflect the timing of when at night we run the search.

Also when you look at Jim's numbers you will see that he is running a full search of the October 31 filers, which is accurate at the time he runs the search. I am only running a partial so my final numbers only include 298 of the October 13 filers. Jim is going the extra mile and running all which is an incredible value to me and the rest of this community.

If he runs the search again tomorrow and posts you will probably see a change in the numbers.

Ok there are at least 11 more cases for 10/31 after where my 500 range stopped.

Too bad no way to search only I-129F's or more than 500 at a time.

Great to see more approvals for today then  just not in the 500 batch that I had been viewing for the last couple months.

Something else. As expected there are cases that came in that day that are unapproved and over 500 case later they have approved files so they are not being worked sequentially.

Okay, I'm a total freak when it comes to numbers, so I started that game as well, and not only for our receipt date. Granted, I'm a little lazier than you guys; I didn't take the time to look at what exact number a certain date starts; I check cases for a couple of days before up until our receipt date (Nov 2), i.e. WAC1790044500 up until WAC1790053000. I even have an excel sheet where I keep track of all of that. Living in Europe, I usually do the search in the morning, and I see quite some approvals compared to Thursday. In order for me not to get locked out of the app (case tracker for iPhone), I also noted within which 500 batch there are i129Fs and where there are none. So, for all these cases, there are a bit under 500 (491 to be exact) unworked / withdrawn / whatever (category is called "other"), 117 approved, 53 RFEs, and 110 rejections.

Oh, and in order not to get locked out of the app so often, I usually switch off my WIFI when I run the search. If I still get locked out, I can just run it again when I'm in a different area. It may take a little longer sometimes, but at least I get to run my searches. Anyway. Seeing roughly 20 cases looked at for Thursday and another 20 for yesterday gives me hope that ours could be adjudicated within about a month. Also, USCIS - NVC seems to have gotten back to the normal couple of days as opposed to the 4-week wait back in November and December, so that's something to keep in mind as well. Have a great weekend everyone, and since Monday is a holiday, let's hope there isn't another slowdown due to inauguration next Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us; may we all get an approval soon.

On another, more personal note, my fiancée and I have done the LDR thing for far too long; we've known each other for more than a decade, and over the last couple of years, ever since our relationship became more serious, we have literally invested 10s of thousands of $$ in airline tickets between the two of us. While it's always the greatest feeling to arrive at the airport of each other's country, it's always just as devastating boarding the plane to leave... And while I personally take comfort in seeing so many other people in the same situation we are in (for many years, I could never find anyone to understand as I didn't know anybody in an LDR with 1000s of miles between them), it also deeply saddens me that there are so many people here who are on the same emotional rollercoaster ride. Wishing us all the energy to stay happy despite everything we're going through.

Hi Mountainsea and others,

I normally run the search when I'm home (after 6pm PST - same time zone as CSC out here)

Today I ran it at around 4:30pm which is apparently too soon as it did not pick up the approvals.

I'll try to be more patient next time.

This is a very big relief and again we should all feel much more positive than even 2 days ago.

Hey look at that now I count 25 approvals for today :dancing:

Thanks again Mountainsea!

Hi CMJuiland, smart idea to go from cell to WI-FI , hope that changes up the IP address.

I've run 5-6 searches in 24 hours with no problem but in the past it would stop running after 3 or so.

Yes Inauguration day combined with Martin Luther day on Monday hope won't affect the CSC too much.

For sure this is an expensive process and will get a lot more expensive imagine $1,200 to adjust status after marriage plus all the wedding fees, medical, immigration on and on plane tickets.

Our journey has just begun just trying to get out of stage 1 here LOL

Hang in there and thanks for the wishes.
