Another thing, do yourself a favor and do not read the horror stories on VJ that people post everyday regarding their fiance coming here and it not working out. Have confidence in your relationship and use this time to have a stronger relationship with your soon to be spouse. Plus I assume these stories are few a day far between. If you know your SO enough to want to spend the rest of your life with them then the only bad thing in this process is the waiting, stress, and forced LDR.

I totally agree with this. Forced LDR hurts like hell. But we don't have another choice but to gain patience because this is what we want and we can't imagine a future without each other. Let's all stay positive. :D

I also thought ours would be an easy case being the same age, religion, education level, submitted with overwhelming evidence of our relationship and being together. Hopefully when it is reviewed it will be a fast review for the officer and give a quick approval.

I thought my case would be approved idk in less than a month, because my fiance and I have been together for SIX years!!! He is a US citizen but he used to live here in Venezuela. When he moved to US he send the K1 application. We send A LOT of evidence of all the years we've known each other!! And we are same age, same religion, we even went to high school together!!! So we are really sad that it's been almost two months since USCIS received our case and no approval yet! :(

Since we met in person, and we were used to see each other EVERYDAY the feeling of been apart right now is excruciating :(

I used to have so much fun in Venezuela. What a great place to party with people you know and love. These days? *sigh* Bare store shelves. What a tragedy. I hear even the Polar and Masarepa are in short supply. But at least VZ is a short flight from Miami. Close enough for a weekend rendezvous if you are missing someone enough.

Thank you SO MUCH mountainsea!

I'll start to update  here for mid-November filers. No sense starting regular updates right away as there are basically no cases worked - but I will as we get closer.

For receipt date 11/14: I think the first I-129F is WAC1790069683. If this is correct, then there are 446 total I-129F with 11/14 receipt date. Of these, 441 are unworked, and 5 were rejected (for forms not signed). No RFEs or approvals yet. When it starts moving on approvals/RFEs I will begin posting on it. I believe this number is SO high because Friday, Nov. 11th was a federal holiday - so the 14th is the receipt date for any applications that arrived at the USPS dropbox location after mail was picked up on Thursday, Nov. 10th through the pick up on the 14th.

Omg I'd reallyyy appreciate that! My receipt date is also 11/14, and honestly i don't how to search that info in the app :( sooo pleasee whenever you see an update let is know!

Thanks!

Given that the number of i129fs being submitted each day for late October and November seems to far exceed the number being processed, I think there will be a growing backlog for a while - although it is at least moving again!  Processing 70 out of 300+ means that at the same rate it will still take another three or four days to clear October 31st, before moving onto November - even at the speedy rate of 70 per day it will still take around two days (or more) to process most single days of applications. I am therefore going to guesstimate that it will be another three weeks before they might get to the 9th November (my received date).

I think I am going to take up meditation for now...

Sorry to say they did not approve 70 in one day for the 10/31 receipt date

They took over 2.5 months JUST approve 38 cases but then yesterday they approved 34 MORE in one day to total 72 now approved.

Well I was really HOPING that today Friday they would approve at least another 20 WRONG.

They approved ZERO for 10/31 how sad.

There were about 5 RFE's issued today however for 10/31 received date.

Oh and Monday is Martin Luther King Day - Fed Holiday so no USCIS activity until January 17th.

Hope there has been some activity on other receipt dates.

Sorry to hear  that...

Just curious how much time a case is needed.

1. Pulling out all documents from the package, find the check and cash the check (with correct title and amount), scan all the documents: 15 minutes?

2. Making sure both people can marry, have met in last two years, plan to marry: 15 minutes?

Just feel that the second step is not much more complicated than the first step. Yet the second step is the bottleneck...

At this point.... I dont think there is any point looking at the processing times from our timelines... cuz once upon a time (shortly after i sent my packet) mine said dec 5 - 9thish. Following the time lines only make me more anxious and feeling uneasy becaus EVERYDAY it changes n i dont have the mentality ability to pretend that the dates are reliable anymore now that ucsic has been everything... BUT.... consistent. As you saw earlier.   Even the timeline calculator couldnt take it anymore! And neither can I!

I ran a partial search of October 31 filings (298 I-129f's) for January 13 (Friday) and of those there were 20 new approvals and 7 RFE, making a total of 27 new cases worked on Friday the 13th. They seem to batch at around 11:30 est each night for the days progress and 1:00 pm for the morning work.

This to me is really good news. Wish Monday wasn't a holiday.

Hi there,

Checks are stripped out at the Texas Lock box. CSC never sees them.

That is what I read last year from a person who worked there.

15-30 minutes per case, RFE or approved.
