I hate to sound insensitive here, but noa2 is not the end goal, there is still much more waiting to go. Processing is much faster than it was 10 years ago or even during the Vietnam war when the K-1 was first established. Stop dwelling on the time and use it to prepare. Even after POE your visa journey is not over.

Let's just keep our fingers cross till we get our NOA2 after that then we can start calling NVC to get a case # right? Don't lose hope. For me November and December isn't really a good idea to file a petition but hey atleast you're already on the waiting game for approval.

11/17/17 - Delivered at Dallas Lock Box - per USPS

11/22/17 - NOA1 SMS/Email - Routed to CSC - Notice Date

Lol at ur cursing emoji haha. Aw thats just 1 month! It would be great to get a notification before then. It would make it so much easier to get signatures ...documents... passport pics... or anything else needed for the interview and work on it together.

Anyone else taking a trip soon? My trip is March 1-20th.

It makes no sense.... wish i knew an inside source from uscis to tell us WHY arent they moving... maybe it would put my mind to rest. Lol

Hi mzladyq,

I just got back from a three week trip to Cuba to visit my fiancé, which is why I was not active on this site during the holidays.  It was nice not to have such easy access to the internet during that time and we could just focus on each other, but we still checked a few times during my stay, but nothing happened.  I was hoping to be approved before going there.  I didn´t even get an NOA2 or RFE before the three weeks were up.  And I´m still waiting.  We are all still waiting.  I was planning on going to get his passport and other documentation when I was there, but it just seems premature to do it without the NOA2.  So, he will have to do that on his own.  It´s much more fun when you are together.  I probably won´t be going back until the interview date is set.

All in all, it was a great trip and can´t wait to go back.

Best of luck to you and to all on their journey!

RIght now (11:25 PST), there is a Twitter conversation at #AskUSCIS that is supposed to answer questions directly from USCIS.  Mostly bureaucratic, but may be worth a short at submitting more 129F/CSC questions.

I will be going to Cuba to visit my fiance in two weeks! While waiting for our next steps he already has his passport since I did not want to risk getting it delayed.  For this trip I will take the copy of our application and take many more pictures and other for our interview proof of ongoing relationship :) Like you, after this trip I will travel back for the interview. I am so anxious to be there already and spend time with him.

I am glad for all of you that have had the chance to visit your significant other during this waiting process.

058royale,

Cool!  That´s what I did.  Brought him a copy of the application, took a bunch more pictures.  He says it only takes 2 weeks to get the passport so we decided to wait till we got approved even though there is no expiration date on that.  If you want we can take our ´Cuba´questions to the Cuba K-1 visa forum...=).  But I notice you are only 2 weeks after me on the NOA1.  Best of luck to you and all the November filers!
