Hmm..I wonder if something is up with their system today. I'm still running my scan, but I'm seeing 0 cases touched today. I didn't seen this even back when USCIS K-1 processing was basically halted for those few weeks back in January.

Maybe they are all busy.

Hi Geo - We're January filers.  I have an Android phone so I'm unable to look at the detail of the data your are able to share with everyone here.  Apparently the App you have is much more useful.  I'm sure everyone appreciates you taking the time to extract this information into the reports you created.

My questions is, can I access the data from another source by using my laptop?  Also when I go to Igor's list, for example today, the report shows only one (1) NOA2 Approved for today.  When I comb through the Stats pages I sill only come up with one case approved.

Why is the data so skewed?  The report in Visa Journey seem absolutely useless when comparing your data to what is posted on VJ.  Also I don't understand why the phone Apps would be different from and Android to an I Phone.

I know everyone here appreciates all of the time and effort you spend collaborating these reports.  The are very useful.

Very much appreciated!!!!!!!

Hello. Thanks!

Yes, you can access the data from your laptop. They are just MS Excel and MS Access files. I think Google has built-in support for these files types as well (albeit the PivotTable may not show IIRC). That said, I post the vast majority of the relevant data here. The main reasons for making the raw data available for others is so they can do their own analysis, and to provide the basis for what I post here (I don't expect anybody to just take me at my word...I always try to post sources where applicable).

VJ's data is based solely on the data VJ users provide. Many times, people stop updating their timelines after a certain point. Also, VJ consists of only a small fraction of all K-1 filers. They do a good job from a macro perspective given the data they have. I approach the same problem from a different angle by actively looking for any updates. As for the apps, they are just made by individuals looking to help (and probably to get ad revenue). They are not provided or supported by USCIS, just as my scans are not related in any way to USCIS....I'm just compiling data.

@geowrian I wonder if USCIS may be processing late october applications, and that may be the reason you are not getting any data? How far back do your data go?

That's certainly possible. But even then, I would normally see at least an RFE or something in the 5000 cases I scan, spanning over a month. I'm wondering if they just didn't update their systems yet? Or were they closed? I couldn't find any info on them being closed today, but it's unusual. My data goes back to sometime in Oct. 31st.

I think @geowrian's hunch that something may be wrong with their system may be more accurate. I ran my usual (by now simply habit) scan of 10/31, and the numbers aren't any different from yesterday. While there has been little movement on late October dates lately, it is very rare that there would be NO movement. So I think it's unlikely that they are just suddenly and for no reason just working on late October applications, and more likely something up with their system. Occasionally the system is down for maintenance, but USCIS usually sends out a notice, so users are aware of this ahead of time. The only thing in the app's news bulletin is a happy-feely note that USCIS was going to welcome 25,000 new citizens in naturalization ceremonies across the country today...

Happy Valentines Day!

If you filled out the G-1145, then you should get an electronic notification. However, maybe it got lost, and it's certainly not uncommon for them to just miss this step from what I've read. The hard copy of the NOA2 is the only document that really matters...the electronic notifications are just an alert that the hard copy is coming.

Hi everyone!

I'm a little confused about which date I should use as a reference for my NOA1. Here's how my timeline should be:

1. Sent the I-129f to Texas Lockbox the 18th Nov.

2. Got to Texas Lockbox the 21st. Nov.

3. We got the letter NOA1 the 25th. Nov.

4. As we got the tracking number to check on their website, on the website it says they got the I-129f on the 21st of Nov.

5. My fiance got an email and a SMS the 28th Nov. saying the same as the letter NOA1 said.

Now with so many dates..what's my date?

K1 Visa Process

Nov. 2016 - Applied for K1 Visa
Nov. 2016 - NOA1

April 2017 - NOA2 (6 months!)

April 2017 - Arrived to NVC

May 2017 - Case left NVC

May 2017 - Arrived to Embassy

May 2017 - Got Package 3

May 2017- Got Package 4

May 2017 - Interview [APPROVED!]

June 2017 - Visa arrived home

June 2017 - Made it to the US. Finally with my future hubby!!

July 2017 - Married!

I did the same with my partner early last week just before our NOA-2. Didn't realize how much stress I have put into this, the uncertainty of her POE date, planning the wedding (though to be honest, she enjoys this planning and it has worked better to have her do most of the research and then keep me in the loop), planning two big moves (as I'll be leaving the west coast for the east coast when she arrives), but still up in the air as we won't know when that date will be....! Big sobbing on the phone, lol. And we also have said all along that we would be happy with her to arrive in June, which honestly wouldn't even require an NOA-2 until April! Sometimes I think if I had remained blindly ignorant to forums, I'd have been happily surprised when our NOA-2 came last week, 2 months earlier than the blanket 5 month estimate processing time the USCIS website gives. But then I wouldn't have found this lovely community. Hang in there!

It can be very confusing.  What is the date on the hard copy of your NOA1?  That is the date you should use for your VJ timeline.  The app goes off of your "received" date.

Here is our timeline, for reference:

1. Sent I-129F on November 19th.

2. I-129F received on November 21st.  (If you look up your case number on the app or the website, this is your "received" date.  All of Geo's updates go off of your "received" date as well.)

3. Hard-copy NOA1 dated November 25th.  This is the date we used for our VJ timeline.

4. NOA1 arrived in the mail on November 28th.  We don't use this date for anything, but we celebrated when it arrived. :)
