American CV samples

I'm trying to put my CV together and I'm not too sure which web sites to trust to build my CV, so I was wondering if any of you have any samples I could use. Did you use a web site like indeed or monster? What worked out for you?

You can download templates from all over the internet. The most important thing is not to put any personal information (age, birth date, marital status, etc). Just keep it to the basics.

P.S.: We don't call it a "CV" in the US....just "resume."

Click on Find Resumes

search for the jobs you are interested in

Then you will see whole bunch of resumes...pick one and format yours to that.

First off, it's called a resume in the US. Try and keep it to one page with title, to and from date and some bullet point tasks/responsibility. Remember that the paper is different in the US so you need to change the margins.

If you google US resume, you're gonna get a bunch of results. That's how I covered my CV into a resume.

In the US, a CV is used for academic work at a college or university. A resume which is limited to 1-2 pages are used for regular. Employment.
