Do we need copy of entire I-129F packet for NOA2?

Do you guys know why the list on here says we need a copy of the I-129F packet for this part, but on the list of documents on the UK gov website it doesn't mention it? Thanks.

It's just a back up in case anything gets lost or for your fiance to review. The embassy is not going to ask for it. I gave my fiance a full copy of the entire I-129f. He never used it. It's just a precautionary suggestion in case you would ever need it again.

Because it is usually the USC how does the package and then they make/send a copy for the beneficiary so they can see what was in the package before the interview.

My personal theory is that VJ thinks the foreign fiancé needs it to use like Cliff's Notes so they can study how they met, where their fiancé lives/works, birthday, etc. Many fiance's don't speak English and met once in person for a week so may find a study guide helpful.

For your London interview, you do not need the petition packet, NOA2, or even further proof of relationship.

There are ppl who have been forced to reconstruct here entire package due to documents being lost.. This thread is heartbreaking to read :/

When you get your NOA2 your case is sent to the NVC. They say that it can take up to 60 days before they receive and enter it in their system and assign it a case number. In rare cases it can take longer but mostly shorter. It can take also much shorter. I started calling the NVC for the case# after 2 weeks, got it after about 4 weeks. After this part the NVC will send it to your country's consulate and the specific instructions from here on are therefore country specific. In many countries the case# is needed to book the medical, that was the case for me.

You or your fiancé or both will recive a package three from the consulate that lists what to do next...what documents are needed for interview etc.

The only way to know for your VJ timeline is by calling NVC and waiting on hold forever. And you ask "What day did you receive my file? What day did you send it to London? What is my new case number?" It should be in London four days after it left NVC.

Official procedure does not actually require that. NVC sends a letter to the petitioner saying they sent the file to London and the new case number. London sends a letter to the beneficiary saying they received an approved petition, a copy of the I-129f petition, the new case number, and to follow the instructions on their web site ... Yes in some countries the NVC letter with the link counts as the package 3.

No you don't need a copy of the entire package. Just keep the originals so you can easily copy them if needed. That's what we did, no extra copies.

It helps to have a copy of everything so you can remember what you have already provided as far as pictures, evidence, and documentation goes. It also helps keep a backup in case any documentation gets lost or something like that. It's good to minimize the margin of error! Really, you have nothing to lose by making copies, so why not do it?
