can we expidite I-130

Hi I'm Z. A. I'm from Morocco My wife h. J. applied for me I-130 in April 29th we did not receive the NOA2 yet, her dad right now his very sick he has cancer in his brain.
I-130 has taking so much and we're thinking to call USCIS and try to expedite the visa

do you think that going to help us to go as soon as possible to see my dad in law ??

That's no reason for expedite. 5 months you are well within the processing time. So maybe soon you will get approval. Tan you have another 3 to 5 months to get through NVC to an interview.

I disagree with everyone saying no. It is difficult to expedite right now but once you have your NOA-2 you can. I expedited mine for the exact same reason actually. I am the USC and I expedited my husbands application through the embassy because my father is terminally ill and I wanted my husband here before Christmas time that year to be able to meet my dad before my dad could no longer shake his hand or speak to him. Honestly you have to appeal to the embassy. I just wrote a letter explaining my situation and it was accepted. It will just depend on the embassy and who ever reads your request. It cant hurt to try, the worst they say is no and you keep going forward with your petition.

I also think you are super negative and have a horrible attitude.... I didn't sell any dream. Requesting an expedite wont slow down the case by any means. I never said it would happen all I said is that you can try I was just being more positive because I had a similar situation. You are right they are very different cases and I went through a very low fraud embassy which could have had an affect on the acceptance. All I said was he could try. It cant hurt... but lets stop making this about you and your feelings now. chao pues

It doesn't hurt to try, but don't be surprised if it's a no. To the person above who said they were successful in getting an expedite, they are from South America and obviously they do not realize the difference between their home country and Morocco. Nothing is easy through Morocco. Good luck!
