We can't really help you unless we know which stage of the process you are at, and why thye might want to cancel your case. For example, have you been delaying sending forms back to NVC for over a year?

yeah you are right,, as our attorney is on leave that's why we are waiting, once she comes then we will pay the fees

our petition was approved in june 2015 and sent to NVC in june 2015 but till now no further processing, they replied yesterday that, ' a duplicate packet containing fees invoices and important instructions are being sent via email to your attorney or by mail which will reached you in 14 to 21 days, but today CEAC is giving this error, This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately...

Don't wait on attorney contact and see what's going on. Usually once you get recept and invoice number you are able to pay fees online in days

In my case same day.

Because more you wait longer it will takes to process.

One fee then DS261 then another fee then DS260 and Doccunents that's the steps should be done with all those steps in months and half

Or contact attorney office and have someone else get in touch with NVC and start process for you.

No error in that message. NVC have been waiting over a year for you to pay the fees and keep moving with the case. Time's up now.

I'm quite surprised you left it so long. My case arrived at NVC 9 dates ago and I've already called them twice for my case number (yes, I'm too early but I'm absolutely desperate to be reunited with my husband). Normally people are wanting this to go as fast as possible to be with their spouse.

Has there been a reason why you have not done anything for a year with your case?

You don't need an attorney to pay fees. You will be sorry to start all over again if they terminate it and all your attorney can do is restart the process with you. Go online and pay the fees if you want to carry on the process. It's that simple.

As others stated, your case was terminated because you let your case sit for 14 months. After one year your case gets cancelled, there is nothing you can do but start over. And no, there is nothing your attorney can do to fix this and honestly it is your responsibility to make sure you know what the terms of applying for a visa are, your attorney(I assume you have one because you said you would call him/her on Monday)should have known you cannot let a petition sit at the NVC for that long without doing anything.

Thanks everyone for your replies, I got your points but here is the issue,,

our attorney is on leave till coming 15th of this month and we are unable to contact her, my spouse called NVC many times in last few months but they answered that case is in process,,, two weeks ago they replied me via email containing case number and invoice id asking to pay the fees, they also said that a letter was sent to your attorney, that's why we were waiting for our attorney,,,i logged in CEAC using case number and invoice id, it worked showing the page to pay the fees,,, i again emailed them asking for exact date when they sent the letter as we didn't received yet then they replied last friday that

" we are sending a duplicate package containing fee bills invoices via email to your attorney (if she provided designated email address) otherwise, via post which will arrive in 14 to 21 days"

next day I again logged in CEAC, then this error occured This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately...

at this forum i read few previous posts saying that it means they are updating the system,,, if anyone experienced this, please help me
