Hello,

I was wondering how you talk to an actual person at the CSC? I called but all I got was automated. I tried to get a person on the phone, but couldn't....help please. I would like to know if they have even touched my case. Trying to plan another trip down to my fiance, but if this moves along, I will wait to go to the interview.

Thanks for any help.

Oh, ok. My NOA1 was May 4th. When I look at the case # directly before and directly after, they were approved over the last 1 1/2 weeks. So, I was wondering what might be the reason mine got skipped. Hoping it's not lost.

Thanks for the quick reply.

They don't do them in order. Maybe your case is at someone else desk, maybe the one looking at yours have vacation, maybe there are stuff at your case there takes awhile to get through or are missing maybe you'll get your approval tonight maybe in a month.

It is so hard to say why because every case is different.

Ok. Thank you.

Also, do they send out the email/text approvals at the end of the day their time? Or is it just all throughout the day?

It can come throughout the day but I have seen most getting it later.

You have to sign up for it though.

You can get the app for your phone and/or you can sign up for it at USCIS webpage.

Georgia is right, they don't do them in order and CSC/USCIS won't tell you anything. I've already been approved and it's been 7 weeks my case is nowhere to be found at NVC and they won't even talk to me. They're no help. Hopefully you will get approved soon.

Almost all my emails and notifications have come at night. But I guess they can come in the day too but I've seen a lot come at night. Keep your head up you will get approved soon!

Thank you so much! It's just kinda frustrating at times. Thanks for the encouragement!

My NOA1 is one day after yours, and I also haven't heard anything. Though I've seen plenty of other people with NOA1 dates weeks after ours that got their NOA2 already. Frustrating indeed. Good luck to you!

If it's any consolation, I lurk here on VJ quite a bit. If I have a question regarding any past experience from others or upcoming requirements for next steps, this is the first place I search. In my searches I have come across this exact question a lot, and most of the time the post is dated months to a couple of years prior to my search. 99% of the time, when I click on the poster's name to view their timeline, the NOA2 they were worried about came within weeks of their post. It always makes me smile and gives me some comfort for when I may find myself in that same state of worry. So just know that you are not the first, nor will you be the last, to go through this period of waiting and wondering. Your case will move forward and soon this worry will be a thing of the past. Yay! :D

I'm also hoping my little pep talk gives me some comfort later... I'm sure I'll need it!

Thank you! It's nice to be able to talk with others that have been and are in the same boat. Thanks again!

Good luck

Just to throw in a bit of perspective. If you had filed I-129F 2 years ago, your petition would've been routed to TSC if you lived in most southern, eastern, or northern states while everyone would've been routed to CSC. TSC had a ridiculous backlog that caused some I-129Fs to get processed in up to 12 months. The average was 7-9 month processing time. CSC on the other had was processing petitions in as little as 10 days to 3 weeks. I was one of the lucky ones. My wife's I-129F petition was processed at TSC in just over 5 months.

Just thought I'd throw that out there to remind that even though the wait is hard on everyone, the current system of CSC handling all the I-129Fs is for the best & for the most part, processing times should be fair, even though they're not in order.
