personally I'm not that bothered with them taking their time for roc since there is no change of status involved. and would rather uscis spend resources on getting people visas to live with their spouses or getting greencards and ap/ead so they can work and travel since those impact people live a lot more than roc does.

I agree with you on this.

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

~ROC 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

~N-400 : 10/28/2020 - N400 Interview & Approval/Oath Ceremony/US Citizen!

Hey, my brother-in-law filed his I751 back in July 2016. The only case status doesn't show the case. It says cannot be found. I callled USCIS. Automated machine can't find it either. Finally got to a person who said he can't find it either but since we have the receipt he says we can be assured they have the case. He says he was looking at the same online page for the case status that you and I use.

What should we now?

Also he said they are working on case from June 7th 2016 now. I'm gonna go put this piece on info on June thread for people to see.

If they only did that but instead it looks like they process naturalization application only.

Are you (is he) sure he entered the correct case number? Do not enter the one on the NOA 1 (extension) letter. Instead, look on the biometrics letter. There are 2 case numbers on that letter (at the bottom). One of them is the same as the one on the NOA1, the other one is different. The different one is the one to enter on the USCIS form.

The operators who answer the phone at USCIS very rarely have any information we as ordinary people can't access. If neither case number shows up in the system, I think you (or your brother-in-law need to call USCIS back and talk to a Tier 2 officer (who is actually a USCIS officer, not just a phone answerer), or make an actual appointment at your local USCIS office.

Sometimes cases get misplaced, or sent to the wrong office or any number of things. If I were your brother-in-law, I would be actively trying to follow up on this.

Is your timeline updated?

Yes, that's what we're all seeing - often until after the approval/RFE/interview letter arrives. They're very bad at updating.

I do not agree with this. Just because 1 person was given incorrect information by a first level customer service associate. Stay positive, my assumption is by July -August we will start seeing July Approvals.
