Hi everyone,

Is there anyone who know a good place to translate birth certificate that USCIS accept? I am on WA. I saw some websites that they do it online. You just send them photo of your birth certificate and they send back you email or regular mail with $20 - $25/ page. Is it accepted by USCIS? Is there anyone who have experience about this case?

Thanks in advance and I appreciate your help.

03/28/16. Received NOA1 I-130 hard copy by USPS

04/08/16. Received the package that we sent to Chicago. Case rejected due to improper filing? We sent it back to Chicago together with I-130 NOA 1 that we received last week (also RFE just in case too) sameday.

04/19/16. Received NOA1 for I-485&I-765 via Text&email with new case number. They also cashed the check today.

05/02/16. Received Biometric letter, scheduled on May 9

05/09/16. Biometric completed

05/25/16. I-485 Case updated online, case is ready to be scheduled

Can you please share with me the certified part in detail? like what should I write there to show that I can read and understand English? Do I need to go to the post office to have it certified or something?

Thank you very much in advance.

I just signed and sent it with other documents. That's enough. My husband version was even more short and it went through without any problem too.

Anyone fluent in both languages can do the translation. Just have the person use this certification on the translated document > http://www.visajourney.com/content/translations

This post was very helpful, thanks. I was looking for a way that I could certify the translation of my wife's birth certificate.

Hi guys, I have a translated copy of my birth certificate from Chinese to English. When it was translated in 2015, I went through a translation agency in Australia - NAATI (NAATI is the national standards and certifying authority for translators and interpreters in Australia).

The translated version of my birth certificate has the translator's name, accreditation number with NAATI and also date of translation. I know this doesn't follow USCIS's recommended format of having a signature & address etc. However, in you experience, do you think it will suffice if I compile information like this:

- copy of the translated birth certificate

- a print out from NAATI's website of who they are (i.e. THE certifying authority for translators in Australia)

- a print out of the translator's profile from NAATI's website (only shows email & Australia mobile number).

Thank you for your input. Just wanting to make sure to dot my i's and cross my t's. :)
