Is it required to attach additional proof of bona fide relationship? Is it alright if we provide the details as and when asked?

FYI: This question is regarding additional proof ( Letter from 3rd Party, Letter consisting of our story and how we met, Wedding photos, Conversation history etc). We have provided our marriage certificate.

Hello,

I am Tanmay from India. We got married on April 21, 2016. We are in process of completing our I-130. We have some concerns regarding additional proof of relationship (in addition to Marriage Certificate).

Do we need to submit these documents along with our I-130 petition? [such as Audio/Video call logs, Wedding photos, Letter stating our story etc.] If yes, what documents should we enclose?

Please reply if you have also faced this situation.

P.S. My wife in US has two prior Divorces and I have one prior Divorce.

Yes, we did read the I-130 instructions. It is listed as optional document. But wherever we look, everyone is giving front-loaded applications. I am just trying to find out if we have a chance of receiving positive results without those documents.

I would really appreciate your (or anyone else's) inputs.

We had an attorney at that point, and all we sent in was the bio data and a copy of our marriage certificate. I was prepared with reams of paper. The attorney said "not necessary". We had NO issues.

I'm curious as to why you wouldn't provide such evidence? I'm my simple mind,Mir would provide reasonable doubt if it was just the paperwork, no photos, or "human" evidence.

The wedding photos doesn't come under the list of proof of bona fide marriage documents. They still need to be produced, though. The only part that concerns is the affidavit from 3rd Party. I would need to send it to my wife from here, and it will delay the process. But as it is strongly suggested by everyone, think we are gonna go ahead and prepare those letters.

Yes, you can submit some wedding photos, some chat/call logs, a statement of relationship summary, evidences of any gifts given to each other..... The point is to include anything that you think proves you two are in a bonafide relationship/marriage. Some people include a lot of evidences, some include just a few. It's upto you what to include. More evidences do not harm.

Since you both were divorced, you both should also submit the divorce decree/certificates.

I would suggest you get some notorized letters or affidavits to prove bonifide relationship. It's hard to have property together and accounts for some people. Send a sample of your wedding pics etc. Give them a glimpse into your relationship

We front loaded the majority of our proofs to nvc. We wanted the officer to have these prior to the interview. If you have any age difference or red flags you should do this. Also some embassies are harder than others.

We submitted one affidavits at uscis and our petition was approved. we got to interview and now they gave us a 221g request for evidence. They want more proofs of bonifide marriage. So I'm getting more like affidavits, our wills, proof of the paypal account we share and the debit card. Also more proofs of domicile.

Definitely send it..... you will need it and I hate for you to be me. Good luck

Thank you very much for your detailed info. Now we are going to prepare full front loaded application for USCIS. I do have some more concerns. Do affidavits need to come from the people who attended wedding? Her relatives in US couldn't attend the wedding. So can they write affidavits?

The affidavits I gathered state they acknowledge our marriage and the immigrants character. We sent one from my daughter to usic. I suggest you send more than this from both sides but you can send it to nvc with your packets.

You really only need to send what they ask I sent maybe 10 pictures of the wedding. I wrote a cover letter about relationship. Make sure you send exactly what they ask. Include english translation with any document not in english. Proving domicile and bonifide marrige is important.

You want to send the bulk of your proof to nvc if you want to front load. Things get lost. This way you can write your case number on top so they won't loose it. We sent to nvc with packets all our skype logs, emails, pictures from 3 trips, name change, family book for husbands country, facebook screenshots, skype pics from 4 years. Just cut it down to a reasonable size
