tomorrow at 2:15 pm I shall have my interview!! I will try to remember all the details to come back and share with my Visa Journey Family :) I am not to exited because my Greer, SC does not do same day oaths. they always schedule them at least 2 weeks after interview but still. I am just ready to get this over with

Welcome to the IOE group where we just wait and wait. Your frens were smart enough to use old n400 form while you and most of us used new n400 form just to fall into this processing mess. The field offices don't seem to be scheduling interviews for IOE cases possibly because they are still transitioning from traditional n400 processing to this new online ELIS processing. So we just wait and hope they start processing IOE cases soon.

Wow, that really sucks. I had the old form filled out, but switched at the last minute to the new form. I should have applied way back in April, the moment I was eligible. The waiting and silence is killing me.

AOS from F1 visa
11/09/12, Mailed AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) to Chicago lockbox.
11/13/12, Package delivered to Chicago lockbox.
11/16/12, Text & email received for all 3 forms.
11/16/12, I-130 & I-485 checks cashed.
11/22/12, NOAs received for I-130, I-485, I-765.
12/11/12, Biometrics appointment (12/27) NOA received.

If I may ask, how do you know that 50% May NBC filers have got an interview letter?

I ask because I am within the 50% who did not...

From a third party uscis case tracker app which runs up to 500 cases starting from a given case number. It shows the current uscis status. In IOE case you can see only few cases with interview scheduled while on NBC cases, you can see lots of cases with interview scheduled.

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

bi05916 - we are on June's timeline since we filed later in May than you and our NOA was June. Our fingerprint appointments were only a day apart. Hoping to hear soon! Boston updated as of 6/30 that they are processing within five months. Fingers crossed.

I had my interview today, everything went well. First I was asked six civics questions after that to read a sentence and write another one. The only thing she asked for was my passport and green card.Then, she went on the application and asked some question from it.

hey guys! sorry I couldn't log on till just now! But like you all know, I had my interview on 8/18/16 & everything went GREAT! I passed with flying colors. What everyone says its true.. as long as you study you will be FINE. I had the luck of having the interview with a very nice guy. Gave me the paper that said "recommended for approval
" and told me I should get scheduled for the oath fairly soon. Made me read" who elects congress" and write out " the people elect congress". VERY VERY EASY. I don't remember the 6 questions that he asked me but I did pass all 6 immediately so He stopped there. While going over the actual paperwork on the question "have you ever being arrested, detained or cited" I had put no because I have never been arrested. Only speeding tickets...but before going my Lawyer told me I DID have to disclose all of them and get a court deposition that everything was paid and to take them to the interview. SO GLAD I DID. when we got to that question and I told him he was really nice about it and stated that I did the right thing because I would be surprised that "many times when ppl go to the oath thinking they are all set.. they end up having un paid tickets and they have to rush to the court pay them and try to make it back in time for the oath" so thank fully I disclosed them. other then that everything was great! Cant wait to see when my Oath will be!!
