Tbh I'd be scared for them to go through my phone considering some crazy things my fiance and I talk about. Hahaha. I read our convos sometimes and I'm like, I hope no one ever sees this. Lol

Hi guys I am new here... I am waiting for green card aos interview...

I have heated from a lawyer and also from experience friend that IO can ask during interview to see our phone.

on my friend experience she said she left the phone home and her husband was about to go outside bring his from the car but IO said never mind.

My questions:

How common is that?

Just tell them you don;t have your phone with you. The question is; why are you so nervous about them looking at your phone, are you hiding something?

I remember someone who had child pornography on their laptop.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

If you have things on your phone that you are this scared of them seeing I would suggest you either delete whatever it is or just leave the phone at home.

Please, let's help someone with nefarious things on their phone get away with whatever they are hiding. What else should this forum help cover up?

I think we just really really want to know what it is....

 I could give some guesses but truth is stranger than fiction.

Seriously though, if it is drugs, terrorism, another girlfriend, prostitution, whatever it is, I am surprised so many people want to give the OP help and reassurance on how to make his phone temporarily disappear and not seem suspicious.

I find it amusing that everybody thinks OP might be hiding something. So assuming the worst in people is the new norm around here? I don't have any criminal activity on my phone and I don't want anybody looking at it just because they wanted too. Does anyone care about privacy anymore?

That's the point of the immigration philosophy the way it is, assume the worst and make people prove they aren't. I don't care about privacy when it comes to immigration or national security. Not in the least do I care.
