AOS March 2016 Filers

Hello.. I'll follow this thread since we weren't able to submit our packet yet since we are still getting some of our other requirement though we have already paid the aos and IV fees.

I hope we'll have the docs soon. ?

MASH what you included in your packet is almost identical to what we sent, except I sent the I-693 only because the DS-2035 vacc page they gave to my husband was REALLY dark and very hard to read

I had sent some initial evidence of common residence (signed apt lease agreement, proof that's he on my health and dental insurance) only because other VJ'ers said to send some in...even though the instructions don't say anything of that sort. After someone on here confirmed that sending all that isn't necessary, I threw it all in the package and sent it away!

I never bothered giving pics do to we wouldn't have enough of that by the time we mail it and they mainly need it for the interview and they have enough evidence from when we sent the I-129f lol

Hello all! So exciting to be getting ready to join all of you on this next journey of ours. I have my husbands' forms printed and just getting some last papers together and pictures, then his AOS/EAD/AP will be on its way.

I was supposed to be a February filer, but I've been gathering all necessary documents for a while and still waiting to get the I-693 filled and also a certified copy of our marriage certificate.

Hopefully, we have everything else. My American husband is just glad I'm taking care of it!

Exactly!! Sometimes I get very frustrated with all of this process, but I have to remind myself that we've been apart for the whole year waiting for the visa, now we can be finally together - that's all what we wanted, so let's just enjoy it! :-) Some AOS forms.. it'll be fine!

We are also joining the March 2016 AOS Filer support group! As several others have commented, it is so nice that although we are playing the waiting game once again, at least this time we are waiting with our loved ones.

So we have just sent off our pack again as it was returned to us due to missing out a part on the application type on the i-485. Fingers crossed everything is right this time.

I believe you have to wait till you get a letter about your biometrics appointment or an RFE.

Also, just out of curiosity when did you send your AOS packet in and when did you get your NOA1?

My packet was mailed between Feb 7th-12th, my husband sent it off and doesn't recall when during that week that he did.

I received the NOA1 on March 1st after nagging him for a couple of weeks that the NOA1 was taking much longer than the K-1 NOA1 and hoping that he didn't send it to the wrong place haha!

Just seems for AOS it takes a bit longer...

Following this thread. Technically I'll be a April filer since our wedding will at the end of this month but I still want to be prepared. My husband will be deployed soon after we get married so a lot of the filing will be done only by me and I'll need to gather all the documents needed before he leaves. I hope I don't mess anything up lol.
