I want to bring my dad to USA not really as a permanent resident but a simple VISA would be ok since we are planning just he to visit us for a month or two at a time.

he tried to get a visa 4 years ago but the system found his deportations of 1962 and got denied and now is registered that he lied on that visa application of his past deportation.

he is 72

what is my best route?

His record means they are not likely to trust that he will respect our immigration laws. Depending on the laws in force at the time he may be barred for life for returning during a bar via deportation.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

he tried to cross the border but apprehend immediately deported and try again a month later and apprehended immediately again and then he quit trying.

that was in 1962, but then it seems no disclosing this when he tried to get the visa is as bad as being deported again?

Mexico.

I was reading and it sucks, if not putting down his previous deportation during his visa application as a reason for inadmissibility according the

212 a 6 c

is this correct?

but if this is correct then is not for life is it?

seems he can submit a waiver I-601 for that?

Hi,

I do not know the law back in 1962. Under current laws, the 2nd deportation is a felony and a possible lifetime ban.

By leaving out his deportations on the visa application, your father made a material misrepresentation.

Time to lawyer up.

Sorry

Your father officially has bad track record with immigration.

The chances of him getting approved for any type of visa now is extremely low.

let's see....disrespecting our laws 50 year ago,,,got sent home on the US taxpayer's dime....now, he chose to lie on his visa application...and we are supposed to reward him? No way. Clearly, he has not learned his lesson and has ZERO respect for the laws of the United States of America....so, espero que su padre le guste viviendo en Mexico....y, la ruta mejor para su padre es para el quedarse a fuera de los estados unidos.

1st EWI is 10 years ban wait to be eligible for waiver. 2nd EWI is 20 years, so his ban should be lifted but need to apply for I-212
