Thats great :) I wonder why you didn't get the email. We put my fiance's email and cell number on there so hopefully we will get one or the other.

You will only get an email if you submitted G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, otherwise you are at the mercy of the US Postal system. But the good thing is if you get the phone app you'll get updates just as fast and sometimes faster.

Eek! Just got back from FedEx and our application is officially on its way. Reading through here we didn't do a couple things like hole punch the top or use tabs. The packet with his original signed documents contain paper that is a different size from mine. Assuming it is a UK thing. But it was pretty close and still fit in a regular sized folder. It should be delivered by tomorrow afternoon. Cannot wait to receive confirmation of that! Does anyone know what the expected timeline for us January filers is right now? I really want to start wedding plans.

You should know something about your NOA1 in 7-10 business days after receipt. The NOA2 is taking about 30 to 45 days. Of course your mileage may vary. After that its Las Vegas odds when you will be interviewed and receive your visa.

Here is a warning that is posted on many Embassy websites and I recommend adhering to it if you don't want any surprises..

Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of property, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. Generally, a single-entry fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant visa is valid for six months from the date of issuance, unless its validity is limited by medical or other restrictions.

Plan your wedding all but the date and do not put money down on any venue's is my recommendation. I have experienced others who fell from grace because they "guessed" on a date and it did not work out for them. Lost a ton of money. So buyer beware.

I thought about to visit my boyfriend while we wait for our NOA2. I want to fly with the ESTA progam from February till March. I was reading i need something from my employer but what exactly should she write? and what else should I bring with me?

We also added that form to our petition but we didn't get a email. It was delivered at jan 4 and we got the hardcopy notice of action yesterday. I don't know why. And that was our second one. We was sending the first one dec5 and it returned on the 21 dec because we forgot to sign one form and they told us we used a old form of the i-129f. We searched for a new one but that was a mistake, we used the right form. So we called and they told us to make a cover sheet and here we are waiting for NOA2 ☺ don't get me wrong i don't want to say it will return. Sometimes it just take a little more time.
