I had my interview on December 3rd 2015 at OMaha, Nebraska. The IO officer was not too nice and keep saying if she will approve me,I will be notified. She told me about ROC and advise we should keep all our bills and documents in a particular place till the time for ROC and give me a paper to sign and gave me a copy to keep. My case online has not been updated yet..still showing my interiview is scheduled. It makes me so nervous, how long does it take for an update after AOS interview.

I am not positive, but I doubt the interviewer would have given advice or the ROC if you were not approved. What did the paper you signed say?

The paper was about ROC and the consequences if the condition is not removed after 2 years.

Congrats! Can you please tell us how did the interview go? What questions were you asked? Who much evidence did you have? Thanks!

Thanks...the interview lasted for 35 minutes. I went in with my spouse, after the oath taking,we were asked how and where we met. My wife answered, after that question, the IO lady sent me out to the lobby and started to ask my wife lots of questions about our relationship like where we live and things we like doing. She answered all. I was called in and I was asked same questions too, where we got married, the name of the minister, why have a short engagement, when did we decide to get married. I answered all and she asked for more financial evidences,I gave her all we have...she talked about ROC and keep saying if she will approve it..I will get a decision in the mail. Happy to have an update now.

See, there you go. Some people wait 3,4,5 months.. I'm waiting 1.5 month, so you re lucky to got it today :-)

My IO told me the same about removing conditions, said what we need to do when 2 years are up, told us the forms etc.. Even told us if we don't hear back in 2 weeks after the interview, to be worried and in 3 weeks to call... I called, infopass & nothing...

Congrats on your approval! ;-)

We had our AOS interview back in October and our IO was difficult also but however I remember that we signed up for email and text notification and within an hr we got a text and email that our case was approved. The IO did not say if we were approved or not but thank God we did and if it was not for the text or email notification we would have not known til the green card was in the mail. I would ask a tier 2 officer and call to make a request.

I had a similar situation. Interview and then no updates for about 3 months. We finally started to call NVC and got a ticket logged to check into it. Magically a week later we were approved. And this was all after waiting for 1 year for the darn interview.

Congratulations! I echo this sentiment. We waited for nearly 10 weeks since the interview. We asked our lawyer to file an inquiry and voila, 5 days later my application got approved and they are producing the card.

Moral of the story is, you need to stay proactive about checking on your application if you don't get a decision after interview. Start with an Info pass 30 days after, then try to place a status inquiry with the NVC, and then in few months attempt contacting a congressmen, in addition to having your lawyer if you have one try to check on the status too.
