How´s that "service request" works? and since what day you start to count it if you had and RFIE/RFE?

I applied 3 months ago, and this being sitting at home it is K I L L I N G M E !!!!

I'm just curious - how did you go about making a service request via your congressman?

Day 75 is next Sunday for my case, and I would like to put in a service request the following day. Was hoping to ask congressman to do it, if it really does speed things up.

I submitted service request myself a week ago from here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

You can find the website for your congressman on Google and

there you will find a section to contact your congressman for case inquiries (It's not specifically for USCIS but for many other federal things)..

You will need to a fill out a simple authorization form and fax it.. You can also call them and ask if they accept it over email..

My congressman office representative told me to wait this week before she can send an inquiry.

You can submit a service request after 75 days have passed since last update in your case.

If you have received an RFE, I think it gets reset to the day USCIS received your RFE and notified you.

I think after your RFE is accepted, it shouldn't take long to get an updated status.

Haven't heard anything about AP, but also didn't do a service request for that.

I imagine if you have your green card in hand, no; f not you'd need advance parole (AP) even if green card is approved.

That's true, unless a green card holder is planning or finds themselves out of the US for longer than a year and they don't want to lose their resident status. But if you are planning to reside in the US until you get US citizenship, (not including short trips outside the US) then you don't need an AP.

Hey, here is my experience for interview AOS :

Got interview at 10:30. We waited a little, 20 minutes. We were early though.
The guy called us. Was really friendly.
Questions related to husband and wife information :
Ask boyfriend his name, date of birth, our address.
Same questions for me plus parents name.
Asked our birth certificate, passport, driver's license. Wedding certificate and divorce certificate from last mariage.
Then asked personal questions :
Where we met. How he proposed. Where we lived before. Who was our roommate. Why do we love each other. Our past work. Family. He was smart and could probably tell if people are lying to him. He was kind and was interested in our story.
He took a lot of notes. Asked for evidence of relationship. Brought some recent pictures that he did not keep and looked at our insurance, phone bill with both our number on the bill and lease. Which he did not keep either.
Told us he need some time to copy our passport and driver's license. We waited in the waiting room. Five minutes later, he came with a letter of approval.
Went smoothly and was natural, even if we were both nervous because it's THE FINAL STEP!
We were out at 11:15

Also, very strangely, they accepted my EAD petition last Friday and sent it today.... So I'll probably receive EAD and Green Card around the same time. I just don't understand why they would do that..... Green Card can take up to 60 days to be sent. Maybe that's why they are sending the EAD anyway. So I can start working as soon as possible. Who knows.... stay tuned.....
