Hello everyone,

Hope you guys are doing fine and hanging in there :).

My fiancee and I got our NOA2 petition approval on the 17th of last month. Checking the average time that the NVC should receive our case (which is roughly 25 days according to the data available here), we're overdue by two days to receive the notification.

Would really appreciate it if you could give me any advice on how to proceed with this. Should we contact the NVC and ask them if they got it? or should we wait a bit more?

Furthermore, I noticed that sending them an email isn't very helpfull since they dont reply to it.

Thank you in advance for the help

I would call and see if they got it and if you got a case number. Personally for us, I called them 2 weeks after they didn't have any info. I called back again a week later and they got the case and gave me a case number.

Good luck

I feel like I am in limbo... We are at this in between junction as well. Grateful we are approved and one step closer to being together. I truly appreciate all of the valuable questions and responses. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since approval and will start calling then and weekly there after. Won't hurt our case at least. Blessings all.

Anyone help me that my fiancee case was approved 22 SEP2015 by USCIS and after approval case transfer to NVC but still case not received NVC. what can i do i call uscis but no answer and NVC not received my case. :(

That "case status" means nothing. Ours said that it was forwarded to NVC. CIS approved 4/29/15, NVC received 8/6/15, more than 3 months later.

I know that step felt like it took forever for me too. Someone suggested calling on Thursdays or Fridays as the NVC seems to have more case numbers by then. I think mine was nearly a three week wait (thankfully not three months!!! YIKES!)

If your case number is relatively new, then it may take a few days for ceac.gov to show any information. Sometimes, that system takes so long, it updates at "In Transit" or "Ready". Keep calling the IV section of the NVC. Make sure you can call back if the line won't let you in the queue. Keep calling and keep calling.

Good day to you. Our case was approved by the USCIS on the same day as you. The NVC received our case on Oct 1, 2015. I have been calling NVC customer service every 3 - 4 days but still no case number.

If you experience a delay more than 30 days call the NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor to confirm that the documents have been received. Calling the USCIS at this point probably wont yield any results.

My case was also in "limbo". Approved on 8/24/15, i called tonight and finally found out that it had been mailed out on the 1st of October. Tier 2 officer advised that I call NVC tomorrow to confirm that it has been received...I have tried to contact the NVC for the past 3 days and only receive a "due to the high volume of calls we are receiving today, all of our customer service representatives are busy with other customers, please try your call again later" message...I hope that it wont be too much longer before it is assigned a case # and transferred to the correct consulate. good luck all!!

Hello Guys again,

So We just got a letter from the NVC stating that they have received I-129F petition and that now, they will forward it to the Embassy in Beirut. (Yay!)

So I went on CEAC to track it using the case number we got, and it turns out that my case is ready (on the top was a a big "ready" in blue). what they stated is the following:

"our case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html"

I am not sure what to do now. Does this mean that The consulate have already received my Petition?

Do I need to start preparing the papers need for my interview?

I need any help possible.

Thank you in advance guys! hope your journey will be as smooth as mine.

Have a great day everyone.

^^^^ That's great! Congratulations. Yes, the embassy has your petition and it looks like for your specific embassy they schedule the interviews. Gather your documents to send to the beneficiary now. I am thinking you should send them soon, but I would ask someone familiar with your country specifics. We are still waiting for NVC to receive ours. Blessings.

I see now where you said 'my' interview. Have you checked your consulate site to see what other people have suggested? Some you have to wait for the packet and others you can set up interview and medical before receiving (if ever receiving) packet 3. I wouldn't try contacting consulate yet. They do have your petition and it looks like they just got it and need a few days to send out your packet. Look up other timelines from your country and see how long it took after consulate received to get packet 3. No problem & Your welcome!
